Welcome Guest Designer – Lynne Anzelc Designs
I am back and excited to introduce you to the newest guest designer at Oscraps, Lynne Anzelc Designs. Let’s get started by learning a little more about Lynne.
Hi, my name is Lynne Anzelc, and I am thrilled to be a guest at Oscraps! I have designed for over 4 years under the name Aria. My designs are inspired by my photography, slightly realistic and hopefully artistic. My kits typically come with papers in both 12×12 and 8.5×11 inch letter size, oodles of elements, and Word Art with brushes. I also do mini brush kits. I hope you will enjoy this slight spin on digital design! I look forward to introducing you and Oscraps to my art!
How & when did you get into digital scrapbooking?
About seven years ago I was creating a heritage scrapbook, clipping and taping and getting frustrated over the mess, when my niece convinced me to go digital. I took a couple of classes and got hooked. I love photography, especially nature, and started extracting wildlife, leaves, flowers, anything that I could use as accents on my pages. I joined Scrap Art Studio and Digitals as a CT. Almost five years ago I started designing under the name Aria for both sites, and have since started to use my own name.
What is your biggest idiosyncrasy?
LOL, I have to admit I am a neat freak! I am slightly compulsive about keeping my files in order (unfortunately not my desk), and knowing where everything is. I am constantly working on “letting go”.
PC or Mac? What program do you use to design?
I work on a PC desktop at home, using Photoshop. I just bought a Mac laptop, so will be using that as well in the future.
Where do you get your inspiration when designing a digital product?
I am greatly inspired by nature, as you will see in many of my products. I travel to as many of the National and State Parks here at home, and as many abroad as I can afford!
Describe yourself in 3 words.
Content, fair, cheerful
When you are not designing what are you up to?
Photography and grandsons! I am a landscape photographer (as a hobby), interested in the whole spectrum of photography, and of course I use it extensively in my designs. My grandsons are my world, it is an amazing feeling to watch these little human being’s grow and learn, and they teach me so much!
How would you describe your style? Now describe it to a 5-year-old.
Slightly realistic, with a touch of elegance or fancy. 🙂 To a child: I like to design images of reality and make them dance on air.
If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be?
I would like the infinite power to grant peace of mind and common sense to all.
What do you see as the future of digital scrapbooking?
More of what is being done now, but on a broader scale: Teaching children to use art to help them communicate; I can see people using our digital art more on their phones and iPads; As guides (creating charts with elements to help kids understand ABCs, or husbands to do chores around the house, LOL); Printing artwork on a small canvas, using your own composite or layout creations to create a wall that speaks to who you are; We are in the digital world, and I think we will continue to use our art to make communication a little more descriptive! Adding elements to our presentations, email, etc. replacing the doodling we used to do with pencils.
