We are excited to welcome a new guest designer to Oscraps! Today, I want to introduce you to Rita of Blue Flower Art and her fabulous designs. To get started, lets learn a little more about Rita herself.

If you could be any character in fiction whom would you be?
It would have to be Elizabeth Bennet in Jane Austen’s novel Pride and Prejudice. I love the book and I love the 2005 rendition of the movie with Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen.

What famous location would you like to visit?
Ireland. I’ve been to Scotland and the logical follow on from there would be Ireland.

What is your favorite kit or product you’ve designed?
The favourite kit I’ve designed would have to be Cupcakery. The name is the two words Cupcake and Bakery joined together. It’s a fun and quirky kit with lots of cupcakes in it.

PC or Mac? What program do you use to design?
PC. I use Photoshop, Illustrator and some secondary software to design. Most of the work is done in Photoshop though.

Where do you get your inspiration when designing a digital product?
I keep a Moleskine notebook where I collect all my ideas and thoughts. My inspiration and the building of a kit or collection comes from there. Over the years, I have developed templates to assist me in the creation process.

If you had to live on either the North Pole or the South Pole…which would you choose? Why?
Definitely the North Pole. Santa lives there.

When you are not designing what are you up to?
I have 2 goats, 2 cats and a dog so a lot of time is spent looking after the pets.

Sweet or salty? Wine or chocolate? Beach or ski vacation? Coffee or tea?
Sweet, Chocolate, Beach and herbal tea.
