Okay ladies...need your opinion...BECAUSE...My bratty daughter is saying she is not sure about this....

Sharon asked me to make an invitation for Savannah's upcoming birthday party. Only turning one, there really isn't a theme, she doesn't like anything special ...except for FOOD!! HAHA!!

I saw this kit of Kim's and thought HOW PERFECT....This screams of her little OUTLOUD personality!!! She is a CENTER OF ATTENTION baby, she is always talking (baby bablble) and she is loud...Look at her photos and what do you think??

I showed this to Sharon (the ULITIMATE TOMBOY) and she said "It's okay, but I was thinking something like a princess theme" ~shaking head and wanting to smack her~

First I think princess is not the proper theme for a one year old, and second...SAVANNAH is not the princess type (that is my Little Jaiden). I seriously think her friends will get this invite and think it's the cutest thing EVER!!!

I mean really....the baby doesn't even have hair....so how can she be a princess yet!! :biggrin:

(I still have to fix the date, time and place...not leaving it incomplete)

I love it, but you could put a messy toy strewn floor blended behind or under the comment about cleaning her room!
 
I love the colours and the design concept - grandmas understand children better than mum's do - she can have a princess 'theme' when she's say 16 hehehe

you can smack me if you like but I don't understand the bit about cleaning her room - or am I missing something? probably.....

does a one-year-old ever clean ? maybe put my toys away ?? or??

I love the mummy said bit too -

and one more little thing step back from it and see if you see a blank spot - or is this where you're putting info?

I love it!!! But it would be very easy to make it more princessy. If you can change the colors to pink and make the star a crown and change the last sentence to say "They say it will be a great party and can you believe it gets to be all about me? So put on your best princess dress and let's have a great day!" I agree that she's not the princess type but also remember that the 1st birthday has nothing to do with the baby and everything to do with the mama and Sharon may be the princess type.

I'd save the princessy stuff until she's ready to dress up and really enjoy it.

I love it this way, by the time she is ready to enjoy and understand a real princessy birthday she (mom and baby) will be tired of it! and I am sure there are going to be plenty of princessy birthdays!
 
Linda- i think it is adorable! ... I get the cleaning up part.... b/c that is what pops out of my mouth immediately after my kids ask if someone can come over. But since the others are unsure (b/c really, what 1 yo...12 yo, 14 yo...heh... cleans their room??) maybe use that space for soemthing else?

I love that it is not pink. BTDT with Caitlyn all the freakin' pink! *eye roll* I like that it is different, it stands out, ya know?

I think that the colors are great the baby cartoon is fab and it matches the photos perfectly.

As for the "Clean up my room" bit....when she sends these out to her friends, they will understand....Sharon is ALWAYS telling Cameran to clean up his room if he wants his little friends to come over, and ever since Savannah was born, she will turn and look at her and say "Little Girl, you have to clean up your room too, or your friends can't come over and play"...so it's really a giggle line for Sharon's friends, because they always laugh at her when she says it!!

I asked her this morning about it again, and she agrees, she really is too young for a princess theme...she just wanted a theme...but Savannah does not like TV...so no characters like Elmo or Mickey....so she is pretty much out of luck.

Good!! I'm glad she is coming around because I didn't want you to change it and my suggestions were only to satisfy the princess theme. I think "Little Girl" is a theme. This is way cute!! W ill you make my cards when I have my next Rainbow Brite party??
 
Ahhhh there is a backstory on the clean the room :) That was the only thing that threw me!! Totally cute Linda I love it!
