If you could spend "the perfect day", what would it look like?
I'm not going to tell you mine - LOL - I want to see what yours would look like.

That sounds lovely, Ana!My perfect day would be a day at a spa, no phone, no husband, no pets, only me and the spa, LoL!!
Yes, I said "anything goes"! I love your different versions - they all sound wonderful!Waking up at my house that overlooks the ocean, grab a cup of coffee watching the sunrise from my balcony.
(you did say anything goes!!)
Closer to reality:
A spa day with my DD- full-on pampered treatment with champagne and massage/mani-pedi/facial and makeover
Possible reality:
A beautiful day, spent with my family. Food (cooked by someone else) and cocktails, and playing a family game-- Pictionary most likely
Oh, you crack me up!!! Sounds like a good day to me.Today my standards are very low: I'd settle for a day when noone pukes! (Today it was my turn.)
Ohhhhhhh, yes please! Can I come along? This sounds like Heaven!my perfect day starts very early with a long walk with the dog by the sea, then brunch with friends on a beautiful terrace in the sunshine, then pursuing my hobbies, a nice walk by the sea again, in the evening we have a delicious meal together and enjoy the mild evening and sunset
Oh my goodness, does this sound wonderful!!My perfect day would involve sunny weather that doesn't require either air conditioning or heating to be pleasant; spending some or all of that day on a beach; having access to all sorts of yummy foods and drinks that I don't have to prepare or clean up after.
Wonderful "perfect day" Kay, and I love "the no clean up".My perfect day would be a day with cool breezes gently blowing. Having the family here for a visit with all the food and drinks provided and no clean up.
This is definitely the picture of a "dream day", Marijke!!my perfect day starts in a cottage with a sea view .... together with my husband and my children and grandchildren
That sounds absolutely lovely, Kythe. I'd love that "perfect day and evening".A day with my daughter. A leisurely walk along the beach for brunch at a quaint restaurant with fabulous food. Then relax on a cool patio and meet up with the guys for cocktails and dinner.
Ohhhhh, that does sound like the perfect day, Cindy! I love the part about somebody else planting the flowers! Lovely day!!My perfect day has to be in fall/winter because otherwise it is too hot.
David and I have breakfast in our outdoor living area while watching birds at our bird feeder. Then we spend time playing with the dogs. We then spend time picking out new flowers for the yard (that someone else will be planting) and getting sushi for lunch. We then head home to relax by the pool and play with the dogs more. We wrap up the day at one of my favorite restaurants and then come home for smores at our outdoor fireplace.
I'm SO glad you found this thread, Amanda! You'd have to fly to do all of these things, but WHY not??? Add that to a perfect day!! #cry#cryHOW did I miss this thread??!!!!!! #dk
Let's see.... Weather in the mid 70s F, Blue skies, gentle breeze. Sitting on porch for Scripture reading/meditation to start the day. (NO coffee. I can't stand it!) Then go to my favorite Antique Mall in Concord NC for a few hours. Eat at two different ethnic restaurants- probably Turkish and Lebanese or Indian. Take a hike in the Upstate. Then finish off with a stroll on Folly Beach, gathering sea shells to use for watercolor painting. Late night movie with hubster, Mello Yello, Lays chips and Hershey bar. What more is there? Oh, by the way, I can fly. That's how I would get to so many places in one day!
HA! I totally could list two more "perfect days!"
