I love snow for the beautiful photo's I can take, but I also love to walk in the snow! All the wonders of God's creation make me happy! I love to watch it snow and turn everything white! Only because I love to take pictures of it! After I get the pictures I want, the snow can go away, as far as I'm concerned!![]()
Wow, that is so awesome seeing a fox. We do have foxes, but it's not often we see them.Everything except snow! LOL!
Plants, animals, minerals. All of them.
I think animals would be my top choice, then plants, and after that, rocks and minerals.
Yesterday we watched a fox running through the woods, and it was amazing how their fur camouflaged perfectly with the autumn leaves. I also watched a squirrel hanging by their feet from my rhododendron, eating the last tomato from the tomato plant I never got around to composting.
We had snow last week an inch or so and hasn't been above freezing since. Big winter storm coming thru today & tomorrow 5-8 inches. Fresh snow is pretty, I won't say that to hubs LOL. The silence if you are out in it while it is falling. The way it hangs on the trees. The ocean mesmerizes me, I never saw it until 2018, growing up on Sea Hunt I wanted to so badly. It was total enchantment at first sight and snorkeling just brought it into my soul. 44 days until I see it again.
We got seven and a half inches of the white fluffy stuff. Yes, very pretty when it's clean, especially during Christmas, when I don't have to go anywhere, which I don't right now, and as long as I don't have to drive. It was 20 degrees when I got up this morning, 18 now & supposed to be below 0 later in the week. . We had a lot of wind yesterday with the fluffy snow. Yes, @LSlycord we're going to Key West. 43 days from today. I was texting my friend, a waitress at our favorite bar there and she said it was chilly today 72 degrees. I told her I was going to spend the day in flannel jammies & Christmas robe downstairs in front of the fireplace where it was 70-71 degrees and that the upstairs of our house is 64 degrees.I love the snow that we are getting this morning. We got 3" from about 3pm until 8am. It is the soft, sparkly kind. And it is completely pure! Not dirty yet! This is the snow that I love! (Oh, and I don't need to go out in it which is the most important part in whether or not I love it!)
I also love the ocean...but I didn't love living in Florida. However, I wouldn't mind spending a month there during the winter. Don't think it will happen this year. But maybe soon. @JeanneMN are you going to Key West? Do I remember that correctly?
We don't spend any time upstairs during the day so there's no reason to heat the entire upstairs and at night that's what quilts are for.Needless to say she's cold at anything under 80.
. It was really pretty put their today @bcgal00 but with the sun shining it was blinding with the snow.I'm happy that it makes you happy.Sorry Chris...... @faerywings
Another snow lover here. I love so many things in God's creation but hoarfrost is the most beautiful thing every. The way it makes the trees sparkle like they're covered in diamonds is just breathtaking. It does require cold temps to achieve but oh my goodness its beyond beautiful. I love watching the snow fall outside, like I'm in a snow globe someone shook. I love plowing the snow (so satisfying). I love watching the dogs romp and play. I love skiing in the crisp quiet of the day the only sound of the skis swooshing across and the dogs running ahead to dive in and then roll in the snow. I love it all but the hoarfrost is the most amazing to see.

We never made it over to Key West while we lived down there. So that is still a bucket list destination for me. Sydney spent spring break there one year...one of her friends comes from Key West and he invited 6-7 of them to spend spring break there. They have a pool in their backyard and Syd sent me some pics...truly an oasis!Yes, @LSlycord we're going to Key West. 43 days from today.
