I went to a private school... 80% of our teachers were already retired!!! They were just strict and motivation was a "foreign" word...
I truly believe some of them were just "putting in their time". We had one teacher who "nipped" on her bottle of booze all day. Hahaha

I loved math until high school when I had the most awful teacher and grew to hate it very quickly! Gym was the bane of my existence and I was so happy when I no longer had to take it.

My least fave was history, mainly because I had a lazy teacher who used to just show us 'historical films' - I mean it meant I saw everything Charlton Heston was in for a time LOL and I love those films (10 commandments, El Cid, etc) but seriously, they are not historically accurate! I am LOL at the Maths thing here, I LOVED maths and my Hubby calls me raingirl, if you throw numbers at me I can subtract, divide, multiply in about 5 seconds :) I get that from my Dad.

Math, and now I do accounting. Pretty funny actually lol
Oh, me, too - and I'm really good at it! I was actually really good at math until I got to Algebra 3/Analytic Geometry and Calculus. They just didn't click. But I wouldn't say hated Math but I didn't like it either. Overall I loved school and it was easy for me except for higher math until I did my Masters. That was tough, but I loved it!

Well, at times, but I guess I "invented" short cuts to handle everyday life stuff. But I do make mistakes. For some reason, I mix up 4 & 7, e.g. Super weird.
That's neat that you could do that @tanteva . Very clever, in fact. You know, I cannot for the life of me see the number 56 unless I am really concemtrating on it. Frustrating, that. I missed winning $10,000 at Bingo because of it. My mom saw it and pointed it but they called the next morning before she shouted "Bingo!" and someone else got it. Boo!

I'd say I'm good with numbers, not necessarily with Math. I have a weird ability to look at a set of numbers and see the pattern or differences or what's missing - it's a great thing when you're reconciling!

see, that would be *impossible* for me. Random numbers or not-random numbers just feel like squiggles in my head
That would be a really nice ability to have when I curse a blue streak, trying to balance my checkbook :D

I SO agree, Chris. Even when I try to do math in my head, the numbers just "float around". I'm SO glad that I'm not the only one who has a problem with numbers. I'm feeling so much better, now.

MATH !!!! Any kind.

Hated hate it will always hate it. ha. Algebra gave me hives! I had to have a tutor. It felt like someone was speaking to me in Turkish!!

Like so many others, PE came in second place except for the Square Dancing unit. That was a real blast! We got to square dance with the boys!!! Plus it was just really fun and we got to stay in our regular clothes.

Otherwise we had these HORRID uniforms

that clung like a second skin or sagged like a gunny sack; either was awful!
