What to do for the elderly and lonely people.

This whole Coronavirus thing affects us all in one way or another. But somehow I think some groups are affected more than others. Like the elderly who get very lonely, the people with mental problems who can't have therapy anymore, kids in unsafe homesituations.
It worries me these people do not get what they need. No visits, no group activities or therapy, no help.
I've seen stories about people who suffer from dementia, who don't understand what is going on and who loose the little safety they had left in their lives, like a relative coming to visit every day.

What can we do for them?

Two weeks ago I spent a Sunday making and writing cards for people who live in homes. I think I'm going to do that again the Easter weekend.

But I would like to know if about other ideas. I don't have much time, but I do think it is important to do something.
I will ask my kids to bake some cookes or so next week.

A lot of these people don't know about social media, internet and email etc.
But there is got to be something more we can do to let these people know we think of them.
Perhaps I should start writing letters, becoming pen friends with some people in homes or in need.

Perhaps one of you can come up with ideas to do some good for people in need?
I just feel the urge to help.

Jeanette, that is such a sweet idea! Your cards would cheer anyone up.
It is also getting my mind going a bit as well. My friend's mom is 94 and in a care facility. I am going to call her and see if this is something that I could do too.
In fact, I saw Snickerdoodle's greeting card templates in the HAPS this morning, *mind starts clicking with ideas*

I spoke to my friend and sadly, it is very difficult to get packages sent to the center where her mom lives under the circumstances. But I am making a card just for her mom which can be mailed and the staff can bring that to her.
Thank you again for the suggestion!
