What do you scrap on?

My most efficient scrapping is done on my PC with dual monitors but for convenience, it is nice to scrap on my small laptop with dual monitors in the living room. It isn't as fast or as big as my office setup but it is nice to sit with the family, watching TV together. But I think I'll enjoy it even a little bit more now b/c hubs got me the upgrade for ram for my laptop and put in 32 gigs last night.

I also use a wacom (the small intuos which I like b/c it doesn't take up a lot of space).

I'm going to sit in the living room later today (after the dog park) and try it out while we binge some more episodes of Dexter.

I scrap on my MacBook pro, on my lap, on the couch. I sometimes wish I had a desk and could do 2 monitors but this way it makes me feel like I'm spending time with my family lol

Yes, I totally get that. It is nice to be in the family room together and it's worth it for me to sacrifice some speed and convenience to get to be in the same room as the family. I'll be doing that in about half an hour :)

I usually sit at my desk in the office or at the desk in the pocket office. I use my laptop. But I am thinking that I would like to have two monitors. I had a Wacom years ago...would perhaps like to have another. I'm so happy to be back to doing scrapping again.

I sit at my kitchen desk with my new macbook air. I have a new puppy 8 months so I have to stay where she is or she will cry.

I have a big desk setup with a super fast computer with 2 large monitors. But end up sitting with my 13 inch macbook pro in the living room 99% of the time lol

I can relate to being close to the puppy. Remi is turning a year old in a few more days and she still needs a lot of supervision and being an aussie, she likes to be close to me, most of the time in the same room.

@bcgal00 which Dexter are you watching? Did the new season come out? I binge watched it during the summer. Still waiting for new season.
We are on the last season from years ago (season 8) and should finish up this week so we can start watching the new season that I have been PVRing.

I used to sit in my living room chair with my iPad in the evening but scrapped in my office. When my back got bad last year I switched to a kneeling chair in the living room so decided to switch to a laptop on a small desk. I do miss sitting in my comfy chair with my iPad but I know my back doesn't like it.

I've got just an ordinary laptop with a mouse and an external hard drive... used to scrap in the living room on the dining table but now that we've moved, I've got a small office and an desk :) nothing fancy...

I am scraping on my tower and monitor in the office. I also have my DH's tower/monitor sharing the desk. Plan to move the scraping over to it this coming year... hopefully before my old tower quits.

I scrap on a laptop, usually in my recliner in the living room. I used to scrap on a desktop in the office but I felt isolated and it was making by back hurt since I tend to sit hunched over when I'm at a desk.

I have an office that's just off the Master BR. I use a laptop and sit at a desk. I have a big window and have my own door to the outside.

I have a super fast high memory computer with 2 32 inch monitors on the desk in my bedroom with two external drives. When Json was little my desk was set up in what was then a playroom but is now the dining room - it was also my bedroom for awhile and my computer was still in its corner. I would enjoy having it there again but got to get rid of the piano first so I can move the china cabinet. I would be able to watch TV and be close to the family that way. That would be lovely!

I love the big monitors but it sure causes a lot of mouse work. I have a thumb mouse that is so easy and so accurate, but I have to roll almost 6 feet to go from edge to edge. It can be taxing!

For those of you who sit on the sofa or in the recliner and scrap with your laptop---do you have a portable desk you put on your lap or do you just put the laptop on your lap and go for it?

Out of curiosity, how do the two screens work?
Do you mean what are the benefits to having two? In the Edge browser, I can download on one screen and then drag it across to the other screen where I have the opened folder where I want the DL to go, it's fast and easy for me to do it this way. A lot of times I have the forum open on one screen and the gallery open on another screen.

In PS, I have my 12x12 page on one monitor and my styles, brushes, etc on the other screen, so everything is laid out neatly side by side.

You can have photoshop open on one screen and your Bridge or photos / scrapbooking stuff open on the other monitor to drag and drop - it just means you don't have to switch windows as often as it's spread over two monitors instead. I love it at work, wish I had it at home!

I use a lap desk, has a pillow attached to the bottom. I have a wide one because I use an external mouse.

I have a cooling pad that my daughter gave me when she upgraded to a newer one; it's just a metal rack that lets air flow under the laptop and also tilts it just a bit so keyboarding is easier. I also use an external mouse, but unlike @tjscraps, I just use the armrest of my chair as my mouse pad, lol.

It's a thumb ball, sorry. Mine looks like this:

But you can get a little one that looks like this (I had one of these once upon a time when I had a laptop - the built in touch pads on laptops drive me crazy, I can't use them!):

or this. They all come both wired and wireless now.

I asked for one at the office, too, because I work on spreadsheets all day every day. My wrists used to hurt so bad, but not any more. It takes a little getting used to but once you do there's now going back and the accuracy is amazing.

i have a lenovo yoga 17" laptop with Intuos pro Wacom tablet and an extra monitor for 2 screens. I use it in my little office during the day for my day job and sometimes, i sit in the living room for researching kit ideas and creating elements.

I am in my computer room/office. My husband, daughter and myself were all together but it got too hot with all 3 of us. DD left 3 years ago and it was just DH and I, but it was still too warm with both running big desktops. Now I am all alone with a nice powerful desktop, laser printer and 4 x 6 printer. I have a dual desktop computer desk for my desktop, my tablet to watch TV and my small printer. Our laptop is outdated so we really use it for portable purposes and zoom/messenger calls

I work at a PC in my office. My hubby works behind me as we share the office space. Best of both family and creating.
