Get to know Nini:

My name is Virginie but I mostly go by Nini, in life and digi… hence my designer name ninigoesdigi (no uppercase, no spaces please ;) )

Some of you already know me from my time here at the O but I'll introduce myself again for those who don't.

I'm French and I have been living in Japan for more than 27 years now. I am married to a pretty nice Korean guy and I teach French and English part-time.
Quite recently, I've had the opportunity to become a tour guide for inbound tourists and I am now preparing for the Spring. We are still in the training phase but we'll have a trial day at the end of January so I will be quite anxious until then. There are a lot of things I need to read, study, remember and it's been a long time since I have had to "study" like that so I am a bit anxious my brain can still take it all in but, it's an exciting new challenge and I want to try and take it on. We'll see! Hopefully it will make up for some fun scrapbook pages, right?

I love photography but my skills level is pretty weak. I just tweak things a lot in Lightroom to make it look better lol. I am addicted to digital scrapbooking, but who here isn't, right? I still scrap as much as I can because designing is a passion but preserving memories is too and I don't want to sacrifice one for the other.

I get a lot of my inspiration from Japan's beautiful nature and sceneries but also from song titles sometimes.

I've uploaded my most "Japanese" collections here too so don't forget to check them out.

The best advice I would give you is to subscribe to my newsletter so you can get all the extra discount coupons and the occasional freebies. I like to stay in touch with my crowd so if you are { not yet subscribe you can do it here }. (link to https://ninigoesdigi.ck.page/014605fc3f )

Hi Nini, welcome to the O! French, married to a Korean and living in Japan... wow... your life reads like a book and I'm sure you've got stories to tell. Can you speak and write both Japanese and Korean?

Thank you everyone!

@Jam-on-toast I am fluent in Japanese but Korean not so much. We live in Japan so we both speak fluent Japanese and I never got to truly have the motivation to study Korean very long... plus, once hubby told me I needn't to know too much because it would mean too many troubles with the inlaws if I understand lol lol From that point on I stopped worrying. lol

Welcome back Nini :wavinghello: and lol! I actually :coffeescreen::coffeescreen: when I read the bit about hubby telling you not to worry about learning Korean as it might cause in-law problems!!! :lol23:I can imagine you then did this :exitroom:

So glad you are here Nini!
