morning all - happy long weekend if you have it. I did not concentrate at work and ended up bringing my laptop home- makes me sad because I wanted 3 days without work - some day - and I am thankful I have a job- I just wish like most of my co-workers when I left work, I left work behind. Our plans for the weekend 2 hours of dance lessons this morning- followed by clean and refill the hot tub, then a trip to town for hot tub chemicals and gardening stuff. Not sure how the rest of the weekend will go so I will be back on that.

Hey we are on a roll - hot tub is cleaned and refilling before we go to dance- better change out of my swim suit though!
 
just like my normal days- talking to myself- I had to come in from planting flowers- but soon to go back out!

sounds like you are getting a lot accomplished!!! You go girl!!! I did some cleaning...but I don't feel all that great today...so me and my headache have spent some quiet time on the couch!!
 
I planted and planted and got filthy, then dh called our fav restaurant and they were open till 10 so we got cleaned up and got there at 9 and the door was locked- they closed early due to being a slow night- now we went to another place we like,but were disappointed. off to check the hot tub- my body has seized up and I have 2 more days of yard work in my weekend plans!
 
Bummer Laurie...about the restaurant!!! I hope you get to get in that hot tub to soothe your aches....SLOW DOWN WOMAN!!! My goodness how do you keep up that pace!!!!

We are getting ready to leave shortly....have to take our truck to the guy who works on our vehicles...my personal technician....hahaha....the check engine light has been on since Sept...he checked it once and said it is probably the fuel filter, so he bought one for it, and we have not taken back....DH has been too busy hunting then all the snow this winter....well...you know...excuses excuses!!! Then we are headed to my Mom's for a cookout....It's very HOT and HUMID too....So we may be eating indoors....they are calling for thunderstorms again today...but that is no suprise with the humidity!! What happened to Spring?? We missed it!!

Tomorrow, I plan to do some CLOSET CLEANING!! YUCK!! Must be done though!!

afternoon, had a wonderful meal with ds and gf, still planting, weeding, etc and came in to cool off. I'm late in planting lots of things, but that is okay- they will just bloom later- I hope- off to plant zinnia seeds- I'll have to take pics tomorrow- I see it may storm- oh well- free watering. dh is a keeper- he is setting up watering systems so all the plants get watered on a timer- oh yeah
 
hey ladies!!

so, i'm uploading some stuff and thought i'd check in. dh is off checking out a vw westfalia. It would be so fun to have one. if it is in really good condition it would be a great vehicle for us, even if it does have almost 200K miles on it. Those things last forever. I looked it up and even with all those miles it is worth $10K and they are selling it for $5k. My parents would loan us the money until we could sell the vehicles we have. I just need to get them detailed. I already have money set aside for the trailblazer so it would work out great. I'm sure it would need a new engine in the next 50K miles but that wouldn't be a huge deal if we had the money set aside. We'll see how it goes. We did lots of research today on it. I HAVE to have the vehicles out for sale by the end of the week. Nana you better ask me about it every day until we have it listed, K?? You are nicer than my mom...or maybe just don't annoy me like my mom does. What is it about mom's that make them annoy you before they even open their mouth. It isn't her fault...well, not completely, she does nag more than most, but still. I can't say anything because she would be loaning me money. Anyway, I am waiting to hear from DH to see what he says. I'll keep you posted.

clara- that vehicle sounds interesting- I so hear you on needed a prod to get things done. I am so surprised at how much I have accomplished and there is still one more day. Bummers for today- a deerfly bit my hand and now my thumb and half the top of my hand is swollen- doesn't seem to be bothering my typing though. I also discovered dh melted the end that I plug into my cell phone to charge it- last summer he broke my car charger- the phone is 2yo and I so badly want ( not need ) a droid- anybody have one- pros/cons?
 
Laurie...OUCH on the hand.....are you icing it to help the swelling??
My daughter has a droid....I HATE IT....LOL....she "butt" calls me all the time...she hangs up on me all the time (it's a fully touch phone)....and her reception sucks at her work on it....BUT...she loves it!!! so since I don't have one....you should go by what she thinks!! HAHAHA!!!

Clara....HAVE YOU LISTED THOSE CARS YET??....If you go with the VW....beware of the expense to repair!!! being in the car business for 10 years, I do know that VW's are the most expensive of the "mid class" type cars to work on...because German cars are made so much different than other cars...and parts too....HAVE YOU LISTED YOUR CARS YET???? So I have been searching and searching for hotels close to where we are staying....I have never stayed at that end of the beach before....but it must be mostly houses and rental units...I could only find like 3 or 4 hotels and they were $$$$$$$$ OH MY!!! Would you be opposed to staying like 10 miles away?? seems there is much more to work with there...

Okay I am going to get off of here....and go post in the gallery a bit more...I am only a few posts away from my 12K goal for my ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY MONTH OF BEING HERE AT THE O!! WOOHOO!!!!! and I still have one whole day to go!!!

Linda - you rock!! will schedule detailing tomorrow and will have them listed as soon as they are. but detailing willbe scheduled tomorrow. So, I am aware of the cost of VW. I used to have an older BMW so I know how that goes. We have already started putting money aside for the trailblazer so it will just go towards the VW instead. It is actually really nice. Most of the miles were put on by one owner. I was looking up other VW eurovans and we are getting a very good deal on it. plus we are taking it to a mechanic before we actually buy it. we paid a deposit on it so that they would hold it. The trailblazer has over 100K on it too, so either way we have to put money into a car. Ugh!!
