Morning all-getting ready to pack up and hit the road. Today will be a long driving day- for mr gorgeous. He rarely lets me drive. It will be a temperature shock too as back home is not as warm as here.

Trudy- how was your walk?

Meg- I learned a while back that it is best to call the card company when you plan to travel so they don't block your card.

Elisi- good to see you here

Hi everyone!
I was here late yesterday afternoon and then my browser crashed and I lost my long post. I had been having a very rough day and after that, I just gave up. It was another long week here, and the meds I am on made it so much worse.

But I am here, and i missed you all!

The highlights:

  • Scott's one rat got very sick, needed to be rushed to the vet
  • Second rat needed to be seen since Rat #1 was contagious
  • Cait fractures her finger
  • Stress everywhere
  • Tindamax made me very sick

I am off to the huge mall with my mom and Cait. I don't really want to go, but I feel bad that I roped my mom into taking Cait. Cait and I have been butting heads, and the last thing I want to do is go clothes shopping with her alone. I might strangle her in front of a lot of people. :)

JK- you all know I adore that girl, but holy cripes - teen drama and attitude is NOT fun!

Thanks laurie- I do remember that I wrote something about your walk ont he beach- sounds gorgeous! How are your legs today? Oh yeah, carrot cake- as long as you can see the carrots in it- that counts as a veggie :D
 
Morning Lady "O"s ... I had a very long post on here and like Chris I am having problems so of course lost all of it grrrrrrr!!! I spent most of the day outside yesterday, weeding my front and back yards, got a sunburn, it was a glorious day!! Then off to the local legion, where they had a fund raiser for the rcmp member that was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he has only a few weeks left to live and we have sent them to disneyland and have done a lot of fundraising for the young family. What a wonderful community our forces have!! We are up to over $200,000.00 as it went viral on the internet, we even had some of our Canadian troops over in Afghanistan contribute to the cause.

Chris - I hope that your weekend gets better!! I hear ya on teenage drama :drama: My daughter was the worst!! She could turn into godzilla on many an occasion and we butted heads all the time! Thankfully they do grow up and hormones slow down and they are very nice people again!!

Laurie - I had a wonderful walk yesterday, thanks for asking!! I am hoping to get my MG out for a bit of a hike today! I hope your drive home is a safe one, it will be hard to get back to reality!! But hopefully your time away was wonderful!

yeah, we've done that in the past & realized with Bank of America... it makes them limit our account even more. For example... Jeff had gone to a gas station to fill up, then 20 miles later went to another gas station for a drink... and they automatically assumed his card had been stolen at the first gas station and froze it. I've had friends who got their cards & accounts frozen by B of A for just going to the same grocery store two days in a row -- the same grocery store they use regularly. But... Jeff wont change banks.

Chris -- wow!!!! I saw the picture of her finger on FB... sheesh!!!!! How are the rats doing?? How are you doing???

Trudy -- That's amazing!!!!!!!! Wow!!! I think LEOs often make the best fundraisers :)

Today I slept in late and am taking it easy. I'm sick of being sick, so I'm going to watch TV and drink gatorade. The chicks are growing every hour, and are currently trying to escape their brooding box!!!! Tomorrow we're finishing their run and cleaning spiders out of the coop so they can have more outside time. I need to find a sander to borrow because there's some mold spots in the coop :-\
 
Hi everyone. A rainy day here. In a way that is good, That will force me to stay indoors. My house is a wreck, but I have to put it off (cleaning) till another day. if i don't get some down time today I'll fall to pieces LOL

laurie, welcome home. Does it least feel good to know you get to sleep in your own bed? That was one of the few things I like about the end of vacation. That and I would get to see my kitties again :)

Meg- feel better! DId you post pics of the chicks yet? I must have missed them if you did.
Rats are ok- the one still has a bad head tilt. They go back on Friday for a recheck and second round of shots. Its good that he isn't getting worse, but not good that he isn't getting better. :(

Cait's finger is still painful. She is going to 6 Flags w/ a friend today and I hope that she doesn't bump it into anything.She still has it wrapped good. I think tomorrow we'll see how she does with it just being splinted.

trudy- that is very special to help that family. How horrible for them :( I am glad that they have community support at least.
Sooooo- how long does it take for the hormones to slow down? She is only 12!!! :frusty:

Just popping in to say Hi!! I haven't been too social the past few days...they have been sort of rough ones. But like they say...today is a new day!! I get to try again :) It helps knowing there are people who care out there (and most of them I have never even met before...how wonderful is that??) It helped yesterday too, I received and email from a very sweet sweet dear friend with some very exciting news from her...put a big smile on my face to know that there was goodness in this world :)

Morning all - it is hard to trade sunshine and beach walks for messy house, clouds and gloom, but alas- I am not rich enough to live at the beach everyday, although I wonder would it lose it's magic if I could walk on it every day? Hope you all have wonderful days today!
