Hi ladies....just about to hit the shower...I need a good hot one for my arms....I didn't sleep much last night...tossed and turned all night...aching...BLEH!!!

I want to take the kids today to that Touch a Truck event...but I am dragging and keep thinking I might not make it...but I need to push on!!! Wow...I hate days like this....I so need a week at the beach....I know that would make me feel better :becky: that is without kids around....umbrella, cup full of "something yummy" and toes in the sand with a book in my hand.....aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...WHO IS GOING WITH ME??? ANYONE???

meMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, Nana!! although i have to tell ya (speaking of aching) that last time i went to the beach (last summer) the bed we were sleeping in did something bizarre to my hip ON THE FIRST NIGHT WE WERE THERE and i limped for a month and a half and couldn't sleep on that side for monthsandmonths and slept on the sofa in the house rental for the rest of the week. aren't joints SWELL????:mmph:

up a lot of the night opening and closing windows. we keep having thunderstorms rolling through here, which i enjoy, except for the opening and closing windows thing at 3 a.m. my hubby told me this morning that he had read in the paper that the road at the bottom of our street was under 9" of water last evening. so. maybe we're not in a drought anymore? i'm testing the premise. i just put in a load of laundry in my own washing mashine for the first time in 3 weeks.

think there's some housecleaning in my future today. just got my Anna post done for the forum, and now it's down to business around here. i guess i'll be vacumming with my vac, which is a whole lot less sexy than Eva's new one!

have a great Saturday. demand to be treated like a Queen today! or at least minor royalty.... ('cause, yeah. that'll work.:help:)

Nana-- I am sooooooooooooo there!!! I promise I will stick my nose in a book and not say a word until we are all ready for some drinks and laughter!

I hope that you feel good enough to go to the Touch a Truck. I am sure that once you get there you'll be ok, its just the getting out of the house that is the hardest part, right?


Phyllis-- with my luck my family will treat me like royalty- in the Marie Antoinette variety!! Bwuhahahahah!!
I hear you both on the aches and pains.


Good luck with the laundry- I have been concerned about our well too. So far so good, fingers crossed.....
Have fun with that not-so sexy vac. I took my very not so sexy steam cleaner out for a run yesterday LOL

Nana- Save me a seat at the beach. I'll bring the margaritas!

Phylis- Happy wash day and hope all goes well. We had some storms too, but not as much as you.

I've been busy (fun busy) the last few days meeting a couple of friends for lunch and shopping and just catching up which has been very nice. No big plans for today except that cleaning stuff that keeps calling my name. Not sure if I'm going to answer yet.

Morning ladies... Move over so I can spread my towel out on the beach with you all!! Donna pass the margaritas please!! Wouldn't that just be the best!! All of us on the beach, no kids, just us gals!! Not much happening here today, its cloudy and cooler today, sure hope the weather improves for next weekend !! Lots to do to get ready for the reunion and the grandbabies coming to stay for a few days. Then they will be up at the Lake Camping with all the other cousins.

Linda - Sounds like your poor joints are painful!! DD has been complaining about her arms being sore, achey around the elbows, so we are making an appt with the dr. to see what the heck is going on there?? Hope you feel better soon and that you get out to the Touch a Truck thing, the kids would have so much fun there!

Phylis - More storms for you last night, you must be getting sick of opening and closing windows!! We could use a good rain storm here also, the woods are very dry and we are in high fire hazard, soon there will be a ban on campfires, which would suck as we have the best of times around the huge fire pit at reunion!! Hope you get your not so sexy vacuuming done and you get your royal wish!! :becky:

Donna - How nice that you have had time to visit with your friends! Nothing like a great day of shopping and lunch out with the besties!! I see you have been doing some scrapping too, off to comment in the gallery!

Chris - Hoping that your weekend goes well and that your family treat you a bit better than poor Marie Antoinette!! I am not expecting to be treated like any kind of royalty today either.

Well I guess no one else is going to make breakfast in this house, so if I want to eat its going to be me cooking again! Have a fabulous Saturday everyone!! :wave:

Phylis....I always take a memory foam with me...I roll it up really tight and it fits nice and compact in the car.....and YEAH....I have a major hate for my joints these days!! I keep seeing my future....it contains wheels!! All I have to say is....I better get a fast one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't have time to putter along in those wheel chairs I see..and I don't want to be pissing off the people behind me in the grocery store!! :rofl: Have fun with the Vac...sexy or not....I feel the pain of your NEED to get it done!!!!!!!!!! QUEEN?? ROYALTY?? hhhmmm...might whip out those words later for dinner time!! :D

Chris.....LMAO...your royalty treatment sounds like mine!! and you can talk to me on the beach and sand.....I would just put the book down...we would have soooooooooooooo much to talk about...no time to read!!! and yes...the hardest part is getting out of the house...we did...and now it's even harder that I am back home :crutch: Bless my sweet Mom...she just left with the kids for the evening....a few hours to rest!!!

Donna.....Pass that drink...I need it now :mrgreen: did you answer the call?? I don't a lot of times...but my floors are always screaming so loud...they usually always get answered on the first ring!!!

well, Nana. i had some wine for you last evening. half a bottle, in fact. :eyebrows: had my BIL and SIL over for dinner, and that's always a good time for wine.

i love it when it's 61 degrees when i wake up! did some walking out back and some garden clean-up. dunno what i'm doing today except makine pizza dough later for dinner. i'm still hunting for a CLEAN-OUT project. i seem to have reached the limit of what i can/am willing to toss out or donate.

Donna, can i sit on the OTHER side of you at the beach when you bring the magaritas??

Nana, glad you got out with the kiddos and had some fun.

Chris: do you still have your head??:rofl:

Trudy, sounds like you're having some really lovely family time. (i envy you the Grandkids Time.) hope the DD elbow aches turn out to be nothing but weather change pain.

finish off the weekend in grand style, even if it's only painting your nails red.

So the kids spent the night at Mom's.....GOD I LOVE THAT WOMAN!!! :love: so I scrapped 4 pages!! WOOOT!! sorry I can't share yet...but I will let you in a secret...we have some super awesome challenges coming up for August!!! :mrgreen:

I have a limit too on the tossing out....DH digs through everything and hauls it back in :mad2: I think he needs to be :ban: from the house reorganization process!!
 
Morning ladies... I am awake Nana so you can stop yelling!!! :becky: It is going to be a glorious day!! So we are off to the Lake to spend the day lazing around on the beach at the In-Laws. Hopefully they will not put us to work for the reunion, I could really use a day to just do nothing but lay on my blanket and read a good book!! DD and I got some cooking done to take to reunion for next weekend, so we are both looking forward to being out of the kitchen and taking it easy!

Phylis - Glad you are enjoying the cooler temps! Sounds like you had a nice visit with your SIL and BIL! Anytime is a good time for wine! It's always wine o"clock at our house!! Enjoy your pizza tonight! Think I will paint my toenails a nice shade of purple today!!

Nana Linda - Wow what a great Mom you have!! So happy for you that you got some time alone to do what you love to do best!! Scrapping is such wonderful therapy and I am hoping to get some done this morning for the upcoming challenges too!

I am here, with head (physically) attached! My family *knows* that nothing better ever happen to me or they will be naked and hungry in no time. hahahah!!!!!!

I had to get up and out early today. I had to go food shopping for the week. On a Sunday. Ya have to get there early so you make it through before everyone gets out of church. And still- at 8 am it was crowded.
Then I came home and cleaned my house. Like- serious vacuuming and dusting and cobweb removing. Maybe my little vac is kind of sexy too? I was getting all hot and bothered.....


Nope. That was just me getting sweaty and aggravated!! :pound:


Now I need a break. This upcoming week is going to be a crazy busy one, so I have to make sure I don't start out overtired.

Margaritas and sangria and wine. Perfect beach plan, if I do say so myself.

Phyllis- have you been getting the same crazy storms we are? It seems like one minute sunny, next is downpouring. And this for the last several days and going into next week. ugh!
But thankfully, it is cooling down at night, that is a blessing.


Nana- how are you feeling today-your photos are just adorable!!!


Trudy- hope your DD is feeling less achy today. Have a great time at the lake.

I HATE GROCERY SHOPPING....but even WORSE on Sunday!!!! so you have my sympathies and my admiration today!!!

You were a busy girl this morning...I have been right here on the sofa all day!!! just to get up and eat and go to the bathroom!! didn't even answer the :phone: haha!!!
So yes...I do feel a bit better today....getting ready to pick up the kids now...just in time to cook dinner!!!


I am still not thinking the vacuum is sexy...but I guess it could be kind of cute if it looked like this:
