We made it to the weekend! And I know that some of you have big plans! After all, it's Sally's birthday! And we are welcoming back Nana Linda from vacation! And Chris was back yesterday.

Here in Iowa, we only had light rain. That's a big deal where we are! And it was nice enough that I sat on the front porch and visited with Mom last night. This weather is hard on everyone, but I think especially on the elderly. They get so tired of being cramped up in the hourse...and it is depressing I believe.

Well, we got teacher names yesterday. We have soccer practice and game schedules. We know when gymnastics is. And I may try to schedule time in there for a nervous breakdown!:attention:Just kidding!

We are supposed to go to Indianapolis over Labor Day. But I'm not sure. I think the fall schedule will stress us (me) out a bit. And I'm not sure about taking that one free weekend and spending 16 hours in the car. Of course, it's our Hubei Girl Reunion which is when we get together with the families that traveled with us when we got Sydney. And it is our 5th reunion...so I'd hate to miss it. We'll see!

Happy Saturday! I am trying, trying trying to make it a good day. Yesterday sucked.
Gary was pissy all day. The cat peed all over. Brought him to the vet for x-rays which showed some density in his bladder and there is more blood in his urine. Bu they didn't find crystals or sediment. So next step is an ultrasound, which is another $400..... I guess ya gotta do what ya gotta do. :(

The best part of the day- Caitlyn comes with me to the vet. She notes: Its Friday the 13th, the vet is on Elm Street and we are bringing in a black cat. She is too funny!

Today Scott's girlfriend who is not a girlfriend (her mom isn't letting her date anyone until school starts so they are not "official") and Caitlyn's boyfriend (*shudders*-- not that he is a bad kid, but my baby should not be dating anyone!!!) are all supposed to be coming over.:thud:

Tonight we are going to see Green Day- Gary is "hoping" to be able to go, not sure if he is up for it yet. And I don't know who to drag along with me if he doesn't. And bah humbug- I hate driving at night where I don't know where I am going. I have night blindness and can't judge distances. Makes it hard to drive on the NJ Parkway on a Saturday night no less....

And yes to top it all off I have PMS..... :help:

Be back ina few with personals....

Hi Linda S! I hear ya on the nervous breakdown. It gets overwhelming. We got the kids' schedules yesterday too. Scott's is all screwed up and I am going to have to call on Monday to figure out what to do about it. He has a dr's note to excuse him from gym for a few months and guess what he has 1st period? Gym... He was supposed to have Woodshop as an elective... and he has Italian. ack!

Caitlyn has all of Scott's old teachers, Not sure how anyone feels about that, including the teachers. They might be seeing her last name and be freaking out. ;)

I hope that you decide to go to the reunion, not that it is any of my business. I know how I am about the traveling- I hate being in a car for more than a few hours, but it is always worth it once I am there. Just my 2 cents, feel free to ignore me :)

Hi Laurie- hope that had a great and relaxing day yesterday.

Ona- oh no- poor doggie! Hope he is ok! Doggy and kitty kisses coming your way.

Clara- hugs to you! Glad to hear that you were able to get stuff done yesterday in spite of being cooped up.

Andrea- hugs hugs and hugs-- It sucks crying all day, but it is better to get it out than to keep it all in. I am so sorry that you have to go through all of the crap for Genny. Poor little one and poor you. If I were in your shoes I would had lost it completely by now. But you are going to get to meet Clara!! I am so excited for you both. And Vince is going to be home soon too! Hang in there hon! I am thinking good thoughts. I would send calming thoughts as well, but I seem to have lost track of them...

Hi trudy! Bet you just want to hug your DD and not stop. I can't imagine what it will be like to not see my kids for months at a time.

Nana Linda welcome back darling!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy that you had a great vacation- you deserved every minute of it. I can't wait to se epics and los of you, the kids and Clara!
Poor Cameran, hope he is feeling better.
Happy birthday to Jaiden!

love and no stress for all of you!

Afternoon!!!!! well, since Traci is not able to do a lot, I have been running around getting ready for the Bday party that is going to have to be moved to an inside facility....it's been raining all morning!!! and looks like no end in sight...not raining hard, just enough to keep us from going to the park!!

But....I have the cake, and all the party goodies for where ever we do it!!
LOL!!! I still have 4 hours to figure it out!! Well, Traci is working on that!!

Funny story about the beach.....Savannah is one that has to sleep in her own bed and ALONE!! We let Sharon and Geoff take the Master bedroom so they could put up the playpen for Savannah...well that did not work out too well the first night...Geoff ended up in the floor and Savannah in the bed with Sharon and she still did not sleep too well...so we rearranged a bit the next night and by midnight...THE LITTLE DRAMA QUEEN had the Whole master bedroom to herself!! BWAHAHAHAHA!!! She was in the playpen and the the big bed was empty....Mike and I were in the other bedroom in the twin beds and Sharon and Cameran were on the sofa bed and Geoff on the recliner!!! You can bet that there will be a scrap page about that so she can know this when she is grown!!

So....That's about it from me!! ANOTHER BIG ((((HUG)))) to Sally and a great BIG BIRTHDAY WISH!!!!! Love ya!!!

LindaS....16 hours in the car....OMG!! I would die!!!!!! that is a tough one...I understand why you really want to go..but such a long drive for a long weekend!! I did not know about all the rain until yesterday in Iowa!!! I did not watch any TV this past week. I did not even get on the computer but a couple of times for just a few minutes!!! and now I actually have not scrapped in 10 days!! Anyway....I am happy you are not flooding!! I hope the rain stops soon!!

Chris...well if you were superstitious, it would have been a day of horror for you!! :pound: that is too funny!! Sorry the kitty is still doing so poorly and AAACCCKKK about those vet bills!!! Have fun at the concert and I hope Gary feels up to going!!! I hear ya on that night driving!!!! I can't do it either!! Cameran said his ear feels better today...so I think the drops are working....

(((HUGS))) to you all and have a great Saturday evening!!!

Morning "O" family... wish I had time to spend here in the forum, but we are off to the beach and only have a moment to say a quick Hi to everyone  gotta go, everyone is waiting for me, perhaps a longer post tomorrow??

all i have to say right now is I HATE CAMPING!!!

I'll be back later when I'm feeling in a better less hateful mood but I had to get that out but I do have good things to say I just can't get to them right now. Love you all!

Hey everyone- lovely travel day yesterday, wonderful ferry ride across Lake Champlain- great to see my boys, went to the car show today and saw the parade, walked 5 mi on the rec path this morning- I am thinking hot tub at Trapps today. So many great photo ops- I just love looking out the windows at the mountains- just so restful!

Clara- hope camping goes quickly
Nana- funny story about the princess
Linda- glad you made it home
chris- hope the driving went okay

our travel went well till dh discovered he left our garment bag at the last hotel- but the boys will be semi near there tomorrow when visiting their grandparents, so they will stop and pick it up- dressy clothes, and tomorrow is our anniversary!

Okay, I thought I would clarify my hate for camping today...first of all, I was tired. Secondly...after being cooped up for 2 days the weather got a little bit better and so my husband decided that we should hang out at the campsite like we were camping, which I did not even remotely want to do. I wanted to get as far away from the campsite as possible. We have a few friends who live here and I wanted to get some food and cook some dinner and not camp. So we had a bit of a difference of opinion as to how the day should go. So, I napped, he hung out at the campground and then I woke up and we went to our friend's house and I cooked dinner so we both got what we wanted. Yay!!

I did get to hang out with Andrea yesterday. That was pretty cool. Can't wait to hang out with her some more which I am sure will be happening much more often in the near future once her dh gets home and settled in. From what I know she's still waiting. Waiting is such a crappy part of being a spouse of a deployed soldier. Always waiting for something. I did get to try out her church though and although it is much different than my home church in so many ways I think it is nonetheless right up my alley and I can still be plenty comfortable there.

So, I found out the strangest thing yesterday...Everybody in Fayetteville seems to be pregnant. I went to Andrea's small group at the church and I wasn't too surprised to see a LOT of pregnant ladies. That tends to happen with the military but then afterward I went to Target and the trend seemed to carry on into the entire city. I'm sure that has something to do with the fact that the city is completely built on the fact that it is built up around being a military town but still, I have never seen that many pregnant people in on place in my life. I must have seen no less than 50-75 pregnant women in that store...no lie. It was unreal. I will not be drinking the water here. Absolutely not!!! There will be no more babies in this belly!! This baby maker is not open for service!!

Well, I was going to do presonals but the kids are getting a little crazy and I'm not in my house so I'll try for tomorrow. I love all of you though. I hope you have all enjoyed your weekends.

I've been working all weekend! But today has been a nice break -- my husband's day off & we get to go to his cousin's kids' birthday party tonight! He even made me a nice lunch today!

Lol, he's probably trying to get a head start on my impending PMS!

Another Oscraps meet up- pictures, CLara and Andrea!! we need pics!

I am still feeling pretty sore and tired. My poor body is not used to standing upright And jumping around for 3 hours straight, not being awake past midnight LOL
Billie Joe put on an amazing show last night. I had so much fun. My kids were laughing at (with?) me cuz they said I was "cool" to be singing along and all.

Meg- welcome to the daily OO's!

Clara- glad things worked out with your and YMG- your dh sounds so much like mine, I tell ya!

Enjoy what is left of the weekend everyone!
See ya in the am!

Hey everybody! Finally heard from Vince, and it looks like he should be here tomorrow. So that's good. I could have gone to church today. Oh well.
I met Clara yesterday, and she is awesome! But then you knew that already. I'm so sorry about you guys cooped up in your camper, any other time and you all would have been invited to hang out here in the air conditioning, I promise! Argh.
Anyway, I am kind of amped up. I hope we can all sleep tonight!!!
I'll check in with you guys soon-ish!
