Weekend Daily O's - 7/3 and 7/4

Hey ladies!!
I have lots planned this weekend. horse races, promotion, party and a BBQ. then Monday I think The Last Airbender is a must. We shall see how it goes. We have to move out of our friends' house and into my parents for our last couple of weeks. yesterday we finished up VBS and as I was almost done with cleanup I had a total melt down. The poor children's pastor came across me and I just lost it. She's a friend of mine so it was nice having someone I knew see me rather than someone who didn't know me. My kids were with me and they were so sweet. when they saw me crying they of course tried to figureo ut what was up and once they knew what was going on were sooooooooo sweet. ethan especially. He is such a sweet kid.
Well, I have lots to do. We have a potential renter. We'll know on Monday and we have someone else who wants to see it. We had some weird lady yesterday who wanted to see our place and then got there and didn't even look, just said it was a different neighborhood than she thought. Very weird. All the neighborhoods in our area are about the same. Whatever. She wasn't military and we prefer military anyway, so it was fine. We are offering lots of discounts to military families, so that is our preference. just so much easier to ensure getting our money. Did you know if someone in the military doesn't pay you money they owe (officially - like rent, checks or bills) you can contact their commander, or boss? And they will walk them down to finance and forece them to pay their bills? Crazy, but a HUGE comfort when renting.

Clara....Oh sweetie I hope the renter works out for you!!! and what a relief if it is a military person!! sounds perfect to make sure you get your money!!! Sounds like a busy weekend..and fun!!! ENJOY!!
I went with my Mom and Sharon shopping all day!! UUUGGHHH!! nice to spend time with them...but I hate to shop any more!!! BUT...I had to find a dress for the wedding!!! I went to every store in that mall and probably tried on 50 dresses or skirts and tops....finally the last place we went, I found four dresses I really really liked and had such a hard time picking one....finally decided and it only cost $40....YIPEEEE...I was really glad about that since the tux rental for Mike was almost $180....
ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? That is just plain out robbery!!! We can buy a suit for that!!! or less!!! I will have to buy shoes and some accessories...but all in all, I will probably end up only spending $80 on my entire oufit!!!
Cooking out here with the family tomorrow!! and Monday....REST DAY!!! SCRAPPING DAY...Playing on the computer day!! WOOOOOT!!!!
Okay...I am going to check out what else has been going on today...

I am making a Hummingbird Cake for the 1st time. It's a pineapple Banana Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting. Will let you all know how it comes out

Kat - That hummingbird cake sounds awesome and I think I may just need to find it and try it myself. Mmmmmm!!!
LindaS - Yep! Almost moved. We are in the homeless phase right now which is stressfull and created a huge ordeal this morning with my mom. Ugh!! I hate it when she douple parents when I am sitting 2 feet away. Addie has started peeing her pants (always in front of the toilet) and all of a sudden even though I had it all taken care of with Addie, my mom starts talking to her about how she's going to stain her carpet. WTH?!?! Then of course I'm the one who's edgy so I packed up and said we didn't need to stay here. I ended up talking to my dad about it but my mom never apologized for it. I just can't understand using guilt in a situation that is already happening due to emotions. She started this up about 2-3 weeks ago when we were almost out of the house. So, yes, we are almost moved. We leave to head out cross country July 20th. Eeeek!!
LindaW - Isn't that unreal about the tux?? I was shocked about it too. I had to do it times 2 and had zero warning. It was a little frustrating. I think for my family to be in my brother's wedding, making the guest book, gifts for the bridal party, bachelorette party, bachelor party, etc was at least $1000. But you don't want to say anything and they don't think about it because they are already spending an obscene amount on the wedding. I will never accept to have 3 of us in a wedding again. thatw as just too much, especially with moving and everything else on top of it.
Anyway, I am off. Have a great 4th of July or just a great weekend for you non-US folk.

Oh my word it was sooooo yummy!!! More a Banana type cake then a pineapple, but sooo yummy!!
