Weekend Daily O's - 10/31 and 11/1

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually today...I went with Sharon for a bit......came home to a nice empty quiet house...had some much needed couch time!!!!!! TOOK A NAP!!! Watched the football game....bittersweet for us...Packers vs Vikings.....Brett in a purple jersey at GreenBay...Vikings won!!!! But Packers played a good game...so it was exciting!!

Personals...as promised.............

LindaS I think you handled the school situation beautifully!! There were many teachers at my school who did not "Like" me too well...but no one will stick up for your kids if you don't!!!...and they are not always right!! I am so sorry you are sick!! (((HUGS))) hope you feel better soon!!

LindaP...Oh sweetie thank you so much for sharing with me!! I really get frustrated by this situation!! You just have to keep wondering "what did I do wrong??" I am sorry you are experiencing the same thing though!! Oh I missed your birthday...happy belated wishes!!!! and sounds like school is going great!! Hope your daughter's knee heals!! I know about this stuff too.. my oldest DD played in HS...basketball and volleyball....too many injuries to play in college!! (((HUGS)))

Sally......Oh sounds like a fantastic game!!! I love to watch kids play sports!!! can't wait til my grandbabies start playing...and YAY for Chili's!!! We don't have them here...so when we go to the beach or NC...we always eat at one!!! and I have to say it...YOU ARE SUCH A ROCK STAR!! handling all you do IRL...and all the crazyness here too!! WOOT!!! for Sally!!

Hello ladies. Still feeling like crap and ready to whine just a little bit...so just a warning. I am feeling a little bit selfish to top that off. So, I had to miss trick'o'treating yesterday. Dr's orders. My mom talked me into seeing the doctor so I did. He gace me some cough syrup with codeine but that's about all he did for me. He said I was doing everything right, which is what I told my mom. But the cough syrup is nice. Helps calm the cough down a little, although I don't love codeine. I got Addie's Halloween costume together yesterday morning and got home and immediately got comments from dh that he thought she was going to be a rockstar not a pop princess. That thrilled me.

DH had gone hunting that morning. The night before I had asked him to PLEASE be home by 11 to make sure I get could get a nap before getting the kids ready for Halloween since I knew I felt like crap. He was only going duck hunting and close by so not that big of a deal and he threw a fit about it. Later he agreed but it was still silly and I only asked him to come in a little early. He knew I was sick and that Addie would wake up early. Plus I still had to go get her costume stuff since I hadn't gotten it yet having been sick for the past however many days. He finally agreed a couple of hours later.

Halloween morning I woke up and went to the store with Addie then went to the DR. We came home and took a nap. Addie wouldn't nap so dh was chasing her around the house not napping. Then I got up from my nap and got the kids reeady for Halloween. My parents had brought Ethan home after keeping him for a few days. Everyone helped when I asked but in general everyone just sat watching me do all the work. Then they all left and told me to get some sleep. I had no food or anything and I was hungry and everyone had just taken off. My mom and dad drove an hour to get to my house and just sat watching me. My mom used to be nurturing but over the past few years she has become so extremely self centered it is unreal. I made a comment before she left about maybe running and getting something to eat but she thought I was kidding. My mom decided I should be sleeping but I had taken a nap and cough syrup with codeine isn't like taking painkillers. It just calms your cough, not knocks you out. So I finally decided to order some Thai food and when i went to go and get it couldn't find any kkeys to my husbands truck. He decided to take my car and didn't leave me his keys. So, I finally got ahold of my neighbor and borrowed her car. Then I ran by the store and got some easy to make stuff for today. I also grabbed a couple of things for my husband to take with him today since he has a 24 hour duty today on the military base. Then last night Ethan was watching Transformers at the neighbors and Iwas ready to go home before it was over so I told him the door was unlocked and to let me know when he came home. they decided not to bother me and let him just stay there. Of course i decided to stay up and wait for him and he never came home and they didn't think to text me. Go figure. So I stayed up late for nithing. Then this morning the kids woke up at the crack of dawn and I asked Ethan to watch Addie for a little bit. They were in here every 5-10 minutes so I got no rest and woke up to popcorn all over the floor and when I called Derek he was a brat. Then I went to get the cinnamon rolls I bought to make the kids, which I had already told them about, they were no where to be seen. I got Derek a couple of bottle of soda and he decided not to look in the bag and took the whole thing so no cinnamon rolls for the kids this morning. So, just one stupid thing after another.

Ugh...now I am just so tired and worn out and irritated. I don't want to go to work AGAIN but i don't want to use another day off and with days like this I wonder if going to work would be more restful. LOL!!!

So, I think I need to beat my kids soundly and send them to bed. Then I need to eat some ice cream. Yes!! My kids are in major sugar something right now. Ethan keeps coming to me telling me he doesn't feel well, then 2 minutes later will tell me he wants some more candy. Crazy kiddo!!

They had a great time last night though. They were pretty cute. Addie was the best little rockstar ever. Totally rockin!! And Ethan was a stellar alien. I was bummed to have missed the trick or treating.

Well, onto some personals...

LindaS - I agree. You should teach the kids how to take care of a situation. Not just tell them to use their words. I can't believe when they knew he was pushed they didn't tell him another way to handle it besides telling him he didn't want to be pushed. I hope you and Sydney are feeling well.

LindaW - I am so glald to hear that you and you dh are on the same page with your s-dd. So often there is such a wedge between couples with their kids and I am glad that you guys see eye to eye about them and can work together. That is awesome. My husband and I see very differently about the way people are treated and the way a spouse should act and I am glad we have never had to deal with t oo many of these issues. he's not always my best supporter. although has gotten better in the more recent past. It used to be really bad. I'm sorry your s-dd is being a brat still. I hope she gets over it eventually. Life is too short to hold grudges like this.

LindaP - You have been one busy lady! I am so glad to see you back in the forums. Hope to see you more. That must have been fun to have your daughter help as a chaperone. I hope things start calming down for you soon.


Sally - I am so glad that Q had a great last game and that you were abale to admit that you needed him to lose the game so that you could do what you needed to do as a mom. Such a horrible position to be. I didn't envy you. But it sounds like it all worked out. Can't wait to see the mini quilt.

Okay...I will be back after I put the kids to bed and my head stops spinning in that Linda Blair way that it is doing right now. This is the longest day on earth. LOL!!

Awe...Clara....(((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) wish I could do something!! Try hard to be patient with the kids...they just mainly don't like it when Mommy is sick!! they don't understand!! I know it's hard!! Get some rest tonight, and see how you feel in the morning...if you have to call in again...don't stress...that is what sick days are for!! ~~~virtual chicken soup~~~ hope this helps! ohhhh Linda...that cracked me up...the red angry face!!!! when you do a post, you have the option of changing that! I wonder if you just hit it on accident??? LOL!!! So...after being all mad at my mom all day today I decided to call my dad...easier than calling my mom. And I told him I was upset they were in such a hurry to leave yesterday. He said they thought I wanted everyone to leave, but I was just trying to get the kids out of the house because my head was about to spin right off. But they didn't ask just took off. But we talked about it so it is all good now. My mom was there too so it was a whole conversation with the two of them so I feel much better.

The evening was much better than the rest of the day. the kids were calmer and easier to deal with. i am hoping to feel better in the morning. Hopefully one more good nights rest will be what I need. We'll see. So, the rest of my personals...

Chris - Thanks for letting the world revolve around me. Yay!! Loving it!! Glad you had fun hanging out with your girl and her friend. Even happier you have a girl that lets you hang out. That's awesome.

Dawn - you only loved...nothing about your weekend. Well, I hope you had a great one.

Kat - Welcome back. We've missed you. I'm glad you didn't drown and have emerged.

Well, I am off to watch Overboard...one of my favorites. I love Goldie Hawn. I should be reading the voter's pamphlet but I am not, obviously. I really need to do my voting. They have gay marriage or the contractural thing. I don't know. I haven't read it and I really need to because I really want to vote on it. Ugh!!
