Well until you actually type the date, it doesn't really set in...but August is almost over!!!

Up at 5 am this morning...but I crashed and burned last night...in bed at 9:30....that never happens....It's almost always 11 or after...even if I am up at 3 or 4 am....But I did clean MOST of the day....I went through the kids rooms and cleaned out all the toys and closets...went through their clothes...drawers..etc....I washed all the new (well new for them...consignment shop) clothes, folded, matched and put them up until the cool weather arrives.... Being a little organized helps a whole lot!!! Having a little girl to shop for again.....man....I am bad...."bug" has about 20 outfits for the winter now....REALLY??? I never bought this much when my girls were little....but....there were not these big consignment shops..and I spent more back then on what I did get for them than I did now for Jaiden.....I didn't spend more than $130 on all of her stuff....this includes all the clothes, 5 pairs of pj's and a coat and jacket. I have figured out that you go EARLY..while it's still Summer and you get the best stuff to pick from....about half of what I got still had tags from the stores they were originally bought and the rest doesn't even look like it's been worn. UNBELIEVEABLE the money people spend and then their kids never wear the stuff.

OKAY..............TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CHATTY THIS MORNING.............

hellooooo, Linda! i'm up at 5 a.m., too. we should have met for coffee.... i live on this teeny little cul-de-sac (8 houses), and one of my new neighbors who lives at the bottom of the cul-de-sac,( first house at the bottom of the hill) instead of backing out of his driveway and pointing his car DOWN the hill and out, insists on pointing his car UP the hilli, driving up the hill too fast, turning around at the end of the road, and zooming down the hill. which of course wakes me up, because our bedroom window faces the street. i give up. the mourning dove has disappeared, and now the car and motorcycle stuff has me up with the chickens. HA! i better watch what i say. chickens are probably next. i used to work in a consignment shop when my kids were in elementary school. i was in charge of hanging everything up on the racks, so i got first pick of all the new stuff that came in! i love consignment shopping. because i hate paying full price for anything.

having some in-laws over for dinner today, so have to shop and straighten up a bit. it'll be fun to have someone different to talk to. hubby is the strong, silent type....

have a great Saturday, O-zies!

morning O fam- I was awake at 3:45 and got up at 4:15 and did some reading. Now, getting ready for the day, lots to pack in, tops on the agenda- laundry, bill paying and dance lessons! On the list for my creativity, scrapping and photo taking!

Didn't drag myself out of bed until 11 today. But then I had a quick breakfast and took the bike down to town. It's "old-fashioned market" in Orsa today. Wasn't much really, but it was fun to see something else. Bought some yarn (like I needed that), 100% wool, naturally dyed with birch. Beautiful! yes ... I needed that LOL Also bought small cucumbers to pickle whole. Yummy! Then I went to the toy store and bought me 2 LEGO mini figures, my newest addiction. Finally got some ground beef in the store to make meat balls for dinner. Pity the cucumbers won't be done then LOL

Can't believe I've done all that in one day ... I'm feeling drained really. Been feeling like that all week. But it was nice to get out and get some fresh air and sun in my face. Now I can crawl back under my rock :)

Look at all of you early birds today!! I slept in until 8.30, but have been roaming around my emails, internet and kitchen. But even the kids that were here (8 slept over) have been up and some out early. Soccer and marching band practice for a few of them.

I have get cleaning here a bit too. Guess who is coming to see me??????

My baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:whoo:

But he's not a baby anymore....... 16 months old next week.... crazy, right??!! But I cannot wait to see him!!! Yay!!!!!!

Nana-- I am not surprised you crashed and burned!! Hope you can relax today. Great job on the consignment shop finds. I never had any luck with them, but I think its because I can't shop in advance. If that makes sense. I have a hard enough time shopping for coats and winter boots in July when they first come out in malls. ;) But good for you and Jaiden is gonna be adorable!
I remember being pg with Scott-- like ready to pop-- and I didn;t know for sure that he was a boy, but I knew in my gut. I would look at all of the cute little baby girl clothes and tell my tummy how I knew he was a boy but damn if there weren't any cute boy clothes to buy. LOL

I wish I had seen that coffee smilie before you re-sized it-- it might have kick-started the caffeine in my bloodstream hahahah!!!

Phyllis- argh, that must be sooooo annoying!!! The car zooming. The guy across the street from me has to honk constantly, which drives me mad too. Have a great dinner with your in-laws. What are you making?

Laurie- have a great day! You sound busy, but in a great way!

Eva- you are too funny- what Lego's are you collecting, any particular theme? I thought of you the other day. My Swedish friend brought her kids and my Finnish friend to IKEA for their crayfish smorgasbord. The pictures she took of them eating the fish were cute. She invited me, but I didn;t think that was my kind of food. :D
Hope you are feeling betetr, and don't spend too much time under your rock.....

xoxoto all of you!

Laurie, you could have had the coffee all made for Linda and me, since you were first up! hope your day goes beautifully.

Eva. Lego guys? photos, please!

Chris, 8:30!! i wish i could make it past 6 just ONCE this summer! the in-laws are bringing steaks, which is nice, because that makes cooking them my husband's job! i'm making spanikopita and something else like that in filo, only with cut up potatoes and veggies. then roasted asparagus and roasted marinated cauliflower and salad. i try to go veggie heavy when i'm having company, so there are veggie choices. and WINE!:partywine <----- me

I am no longer MIA! What was supposed to be a couple of days of brevity turned into a full week without internet. But as of this morning, things are back to normal. (Well, normal may be stretching it...)

The house is relatively unpacked. It has been total chaos since a week ago Thursday night when the realtor called at about 7:00 pm and told us that we wouldn't be closing Friday. But, then on Friday morning about 10 (after we called the movers and told them not to come), she called and said that we were closing at 1 as originally planned. So we grabbed boxes and started moving...got the movers to come on Saturday. We knew oven needed to be replaced as well as new washer and dryer. Got those ordered for delivery on Wed. Then found out that refrigerator didn't work and the electrical outlets in the basement didn't work so couldn't use our spare refrigerator or freezer.
Got a new refrigerator ordered and they couldn't deliver that until Thurs. Ok, delivered the washer and dryer and oven on Wed. (which was also the first day of school for the kids) and oven (double wall oven) didn't fit the cabinet opening by 1/2 inch so oven stayed in garage.
The telephone and internet people who were supposed to be here by last Friday found that they needed to lay some new DSL and that wouldn't happen until yesterday.
Oven people are back now, internet is running, electrician fixed outlets in basement so back up refrigerator and freezer are working, new refrigerator in kitchen works, kids have lived through 3 days of school. Life is starting to look good.
Putting my office together this morning...going to be the coolest room ever when it is together...and later today I'm going to scrap!

I'm not really collecting ... I just buy them :first: (as in no. 1 idiot) I want to get the hippie lego fig:

And ... I do NOT eat crayfish. I don't eat anything that looks like an insect LOL

Haaaa, Phylis I think I dated the same guy!! :hippie:

Morning everyone... Beautiful sunny day here today and I actually slept until 8:00, hubby was up at 5:00am and now is back in bed sound asleep, so I don't have to get breakfast for a bit, well by the time he gets back up, it will be brunch I guess. So nice to see everyone in here this morning!

Nana Linda - you have been busy, busy scrapping!! Wow you have filled the gallery with some beauties this morning! WTG on the consignment shopping! Wish they would have had that when my kids were small!

Phylis - Maybe you should lay a Spike Strip at the top of your hill for your neighbor, the ones like the police use :heh: Oh I'm not a good neighbor am I?? At least the dove has gone and left you alone. Your supper tonight sounds sooooo yummy!! Have you got room at your table for a couple more people?? MG and I love steak!

Laurie - Early bird this morning!! sounds like your day is full though! Have a great one!

LindaS - Oh my girl, your move sounds like all of the moves we used to make, so glad those days are over for us!! Can't wait to hear about your new office room, take photos please!! Glad you survived this move and are no longer going to be MIA!!

Eva - Not sure how you can sleep that long?? Glad you got out from under your rock for a bit and got some fresh air!! Come back out again soon ok?

Well I've got lots to do today, so I will get outta here :bolt: have a great weekend everyone!

LindaS!!! eeeeeeeEEEEEEEKKK!!! my head is spinning after reading all that. hope the dust settles soon and you get to sit somewhere with your feet up!

3:30 am........................... (all curse words):censored:

So my sweet precious adorable (just reminding myself) little Savannah spent the night...she has slept for only one hour!!! WTH???????? She has whinned for her mother quite a bit....and other wise I have to go get her and sit with her for 20 minutes at a time and then put her back for an hour....repeat...... I am having a totally different kind of scrap page in mind for her right now :hurt:

This in itself would not be so terribly bad, but my day yesterday majorly SUCKED!!!! so this is just the big blob of icing that fell off the cake into my floor and made a big ass mess that I have to clean up now (good analogy??)....
Go ahead......You may laugh at me......don't feel sorry for me......I like it better when people laugh!!

Anyway...sorry to be just a downer this early in the morning.....I hope you all have a great day today and take a nap for me...cuz I won't be able to get one!!!

:Cry:Nana. BUMMER! will we ever get to sleep, EVER again??? i hope everyone at your house takes a big nap today.

I guess I can't complain-- I was only up 2-3 times and was able to get back to sleep after and hour each time. Gary's restless legs were insane last night and he was just cracking his joints and twitching non-stop.

Nana can ya dose them all up with some bendryl and make them nap? eep!

Must be one of those nights, cause I have been awake half the night too!! Finally decided at 5:00am to get out of bed after tossing and turning most of the night :hurt: I want to go back to

Oh well might as well do some scrapping right??

Nana Linda - I hope you get to have a bit of a nap today!! Tomorrow the big yellow bus will be at your place!

WHY IN THE WORLD HAVEN'T WE BEEN HERE PARTYING THEN IF WE WERE ALL UP!!

Want to hear something funny?? Since I was up...GGGRRRRR....I didn't close my curtains last night...so I was sitting on sofa in the dark with Savannah and saw a car pull up at 2:30 am......the neighbor across the street (married..two kids) has some one drive her home...a man gets out of the driver side, comes around to the passenger side and opens the door....neighbor gets out and waddles up to the door and takes her 5 minutes to get it open.....hhhmmmm..........drunk? needed a driver?? messing around??? Bwahahahaha....well....knowing we all need a night to have some fun.....I don't care....it's was just funny to watch!!!

morning all - quiet evening for me- only problem- our AC unit outside works but for the fan- so no AC- MMG went and bought several large fans this morning- I did paperwork- and made another batch of jelly, laundry- cleaned up the mess made when the globe for the fan light in our bedroom fell off and (likely flew off) and landed in the master bath- shattering into many fragments. Then I made breakfast for us- toaster has been very temperamental and prefers to make all toast black. Now debating with MMG whether to add going to home depot to begin the special order for basement counter tops. So we have to decide between quartz and granite ( I would take Formica made to look like, but he wants stone. Need this done before we can invite friends over. Okay still have more paperwork to do today (yes I am beyond far behind and it needs to be done before Oct1.)

holy cow, Laurie! that globe event must have been hair-raising! hope all your appliances get their acts together!!
