They're addictive like the Twilight books....but aimed for a more mature audience, I would say. Really the whole mortal falling in love with a vampire is about all they have in common.

LOL, Wendy is right. But there's also shapeshifters. They're quite a bit different, but still... there they are. And, you don't have to wait for book 4 for "something" to happen (*snicker, snort*) But, if you can handle most "romance" books, you can handle the more mature nature of these.

hahahah... i was late on the twighlight wagon too. aren't they so amazing!!
oh... and hubby just used all of his credits on his audible.com account to download ALL of the sookie books for me!! now i just have to wait for him to convert them all and pop them on my ipod. can't WAIT to get started!!!!

.. I think all husbands find Edward intriguing!.. and ok.. I'm apparently way out of it, I see a lot of you read digital books... I should really look into that.. my bedroom is overflowing.. and my reading obsession has only begun!

hahahah... that's what HE said!!! LOL. and i considered it... but ya know... no harm in keeping him on his toes. he actually blames edward that he has to be more "careful" with me now. that edward has made me all fragile and i now seem to walk around with this false assumption that he will wait on me hand and foot, start random physical fights to prove his desire to protect me, as well as react to my emotional tantrums and outbursts with gentle and loving words as to not upset me further. baaaaahahaha. he says it isn't fair, that stephanie meyer could have AT LEAST made bella a little "hotter" so he would something to bargain with.
i do (double-secretly, of course) think that he may have learned a thing or two from edward. not so much in the way of making me happy, but ways to "dazzle me" into getting his way. hahhaha.

Vicki thanks for this recommendation! I am just about to start the 3rd book. Loving this series!
