Travel blues... Hawaii trip

Yes, I am still alive! And I have been to Hawaii! But, it was so much fun, since I have been back I feel all empty as I don't have anything else to be excited about. :sigh:
Anyone has felt that before? You all have pretty busy lives so maybe when you get back home the routine takes over and you might not have felt the same? But I don't think I am as busy as you guys and the gap feels so much bigger. Or maybe it's just summer blues. Who knows.

Anyway, I am finally taking the time to show you my 4 days trip to Hawaii. It was much humid than I had imagined but there's not much you can do against that, right? It was nice to be in a totally different scenery though. Amazing views, white and looooonnng beaches, delicious food. Nice shopping experience too. I haven't edited my big camera photos yet but here are a few daily uploads I made on my FB feed.

I looooved the poke and the pancakes the best! Yum!!

Thank you again to all of those who gave me some nice tips for this trip. I still have many things to see and I hope it won't take another 19 years before I go lol!!!

It is normal to have post-vacation or trip blues. We travel a lot, and have found that one of the best things to help it is to make plans for something, or have a project to do, as soon as we return home. We just returned from 10 days...road trip and a week with our DD and her big family. They wear us out, so we look forward to the peace of home rather than dwelling on how we miss them after we leave. And we need new carpet, so we planned to have that installed after our trip. So are in the process of moving stuff out of the rooms to be carpeted. While doing that, we are also purging, which gives us a project that leaves us feeling good. I know new carpet is a huge thing, but I hope you get the idea of what I'm saying. A project takes your mind off of the letdown.

Your pictures are wonderful. Looks like you had a great time.

Gorgeous photos! Looks like your Day 4 was on fire! So hot here, so I would love to feel beach breeze!
My sister told me exactly this, that she don't want to go on vacation now, because after that will have whole empty summer, which isn't so fun, when you have vacation on the horison is easy to deal with hotness till planning the escape. Personally I'm a little bit control maniac, so when I'm not at home, most of the time I freak out that something in my house will go wrong, and my favorite part of vacation is the last day. I would love to scroll all happy memories from one vacation in peaceful coziness of my home. But I also hope that you wouldn't wait 19 years before to visit Hawaii again, not even 19 month!

Looks like you had a great time, nini!
Is it not so that the more fun you have the longer it takes to get back on track? I think you got the most out of your days, and looking at your pictures you got home with lots of inspiration to design!

Nini- I used to get that huge let down as well. Especially when we would plan for Disney Trips with the kids and we did a huge countdown. I always cried the last time we left the Magic Kingdom. Then we would get home and start planning and saving for our next trip. I still have a full change jar, our Saving for Disney can, complete with Mickey Mouse stickers, since we haven't been able to go back for years.

Your photos are breathtaking and I hope that you will find joy in scrapping with them. Hugs!

Thank you guys. Yesterday I had dinner with my travel companions and also the absentees so it was very much fun to talk about our memories there. It felt like a great way to close that chapter and think about the next one.
I feel better I think and I am pushing myself to do more than just watch TV shows lol
Starting by uploading my goodies from my guest store ;) Looking at my photos again it indeed gives me some ideas for design so let's hope I will be able to implement them soon!
Thank you all for the moral support. It means a lot!!

Poke was absolutely our favorite thing to eat in Hawaii. We probably ate it twice a day!!

Such beautiful photos, Nini. Holy moly...I see some great looking drinks in there. :) I know it must have been fabulous. Let the good memories hug you when you get that let down feeling. I'm glad your go juice is coming back and you are beginning to get back into designing. Thanks for sharing the photos with us! I can't wait to see more!
