I woke up to the news about Rob Reiner. After another weekend of violence and hatred in the US and AU, plus just the standard bad news around the world, my heart hurts.

Can we please share things of beauty in this thread? Maybe that can help counteract all of the awfulness in the news.
I'd love to see photos of things that bring you joy or peace. Maybe you have a story of something that warmed your heart you would like to tell. A quote or song that is uplifting. Anything that makes you happy and lighthearted.

Here is a photo of a tufted titmouse I took a fewmonths ago. They are the cutest birds!

This is a rare photo. They really don't like each other that much, it's really hard to ger them both in one photo.
 
My social media time is SEVERELY curtailed and my happiness quotient has astronomically risen!! Here's a picture to be happy about! I truly think SM is designed to rile us up and make us think the world is exploding and it foments fear.

After wanting one for thirty years - and having to go through mini vans and other cars for us, my husband finally got his truck!!! IMG_5944.JPG

Best thing I ever did was delete FB It was so depressing and so much bickering among everyone. I couldn't do it. I felt it dragging me down. I've never regretted the choice. What makes me happy is baking and quiet time. Plus my puppies.

This sweet little face. She loves to climb up on my legs when I am on the computer. She snuggles down in the blanket making a snuggly place just for her. When I move my computer (laptop) this is what I see, her little face all squishy and cute.
 
I love the beauty of my Florida flowers in Dec and my birds that come visit every day They make me happy.

Okay, I couldn't pick just one thing.

This is one of my hibiscus blooming like crazy around Thanksgiving.

This is my new nativity. I bought it online so I was worried I wouldn't like it when I got it. Good news, I am so happy with it.

I use FB 99% for CT scrapping and work. If not for that, I would love to delete my account.

All of your little babies have the sweetest faces!
 
@pachimac Congratulations on the new truck.
We are truck family. Hubby has had one ever since 1978 a 1967 Chevy. That was given to our son when he was 16 and Jay got a new truck.
So funnyish truck story. Our son drove it a few years when he was done with it he parked in his backyard. Later on his wife was hassling him about truck and the 2 demolition derby cars so he had junkyard coming to get them. Mike tossed and turned all night in morning wife asked him why..."the 67" -my dad's first truck and my first truck...needless to say he still has that truck... way in back by the swamp...they use if for target practice and the goats climb on it. The End!
 
I do hope this video is open for viewing worldwide. You won't understand a word, but just look at the video. It was on the news yesterday - it's from Swedish public service. This horse has been visiting care homes for 10 years now. In this clip she's visiting people in a care home for elderly with dementia. The joy she's bringing is making me happy.

My shih tzu was a cuddler too he always sat on the couch next to me while I was on my laptop. slept in bed with us always right next to me. I loved it and miss him terribly so enjoy her.
