LOL Chris - it's the exact opposite with Jasper - he's WAAAAAAAY hotter in the movie. OK ... the rest of DSD weekend is cancelled, I'm gonna watch Jasper ... hmm ... I mean my Twilight movie.

Omg sooo true isn't it? I have a feeling that Christian Grey is going to be the same way!

Well ... I haven't read that book. Read the plot on Wikipedia, and it sounded like pure crap LOL

I do wish that I had read Vampire Diaries and others like Sookie Stackhouse before reading Twilight. Since Twilight is a total rip off of Sookie. I struggled with it because I was so over the Twilight thing by then.

I hated the "I can't live without him" portion of Twilight. I was so disgusted by Bella. Helpless woman. I much more enjoyed the last portion of the series.

And yes, Fifty Shades is total crap. But it's kind of fun crap. Not as fun as Stephanie Plum, but still kind of fun.

It's really disturbing to me, to think that young girls read this. What they learn is that it doesn't matter if a guy is dangerous - as long as you behave and don't tempt him. And that dangerous guys are nice really. As long as you don't smell too good. I'm sure the books will make girls stay in bad relationships because they think deep down the guy is an Edward.

Haven't read Vampire Diaries. Read the first Sookie - but that's enough for me. 50 shades of Grey just came out in Swedish ... I might read it just because, but I don't think I'll like it. Might be wrong, might be right.

Probably not Eva. If you don't like Bella staying with Edward, you'll hate Ana staying with Christian!!!

Vampire diaries is soooooooooo much better

I *heart* Vampire Diaries-- And Damon is much hotter on the screen!

Am I the only person in the world who hasn't read, nor has any desire (no pun intended) to read 50 Shades? I have a feeling it is going to get my "feminist" self all bent out of shape so I have stayed away. I hated the Helpless Bella so I am guessing that 50 Shades is no better?

No, I have no desire to read 50 shades of grey. I'm just curious what all the fuss is about LOL

I read 50 Shades as there was so much fuss about it in the UK. However, I got bored at the sex description. I was literally turning pages over when it came to that in Book2!

Ultimately, I would much rather read Stephanie Plum or Richard Castle. But I had to read it to see what the commotion was about. I don't think she's a good writer, but there was enough of a story that made me want to see it all the way through. And of course, occasionally, it's fun to read steamy scenes....even though they may be poorly written. And we get a "reformed" boy toy at the end of it all. :) It's the fantasy that a woman's love will turn the bad boy good.

Love the Vampire Diaries! TV...not the books. I tired to read 50 Shades. Too dark. I've got better things to do with my life. :playball:

Apparently I am the only one here that LOVES Twilight lol. It's probably because I am a hopeless romantic and I could relate tho being hopelessly in love with someone that was no good for me lol.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I enjoy Twilight - I'm a sucker for romance too. I just think Bella is an idiot LOL I've read the books once - listen to the audiobooks twice + have the DVDs. Waiting for the last movie now. But I'm old enough to know that bad boys never get good :)
