TENS Treatments?

My doctor suggested I go for TENS treatments for back spasms recently. Debby, @BoatLady , has been so helpful with sharing how she uses her device.
( :thankyouspin: )
I am looking at the different models and features and I am wondering if any of you have any additional advice or suggestions. There are so many options and man, I have *questions.*
How many pads are optimal for back pain? How often do you replace the pads?
Wireless seems like a smart idea but can I stick it in my waistband?
And the last one (for now :giggle4: ), is the muscle stimulator needed if I mainly want pain relief?

TIA!!

Mine has cords which are no problem I clip the power pack on my pocket or waistband. I used mine a month before using new pads. They are reusable--I'm careful so they last a long time. I use 1 set of pads most of the time but there are times i have used both sets. I have hubby put my back pads on then I plug in to power pack. I use for an hour then when it goes off I leave pads on then at some point i put it on again. I power it several times a day. The guide tells where to put pads for using it for different problems. Just make sure they are all in contact with skin cause if they are not you will get lots of tingle/shock. Never put pads over the spine. I was lucky DD was here when I got it,she uses one and also uses on at work at the chiropractic office where she works.
Feel free to ask about it. I will try to help you

Ohhh! My husband just got one of these for his ankle pain. He's been waiting for surgery for two years (V.A. :rolleyes1: ) He says it helps a bit for him. :) Glad you were able to do this.

It's an old one and I'm sure there are better ones out there now but Darrell has the Dr. Ho Foot Tens and the regular kit with the pads. He's been using it for years and says it helps when his back acts up.

What do you think about it helping neck/shoulder pain?
Vicky, last night I put one pad on my upper back between my shoulder joint and eaither side of my spine. The other two were mid-back and I let the machine run for an hour. What a difference. My left shoulder joint is stiff but not giving me as much grief as my back but I plan on trying on my shoulder as well. I'll let you know if it helps!
