So tell me, what are your scrapping hang ups?

Jen- that is really interesting. What a great thing to be able to look back and realize that you conquered some of those fears :)

I remember when I first started digi-scrapping I was so terrified I wasn't going to credit what I used properly that I tried to make everything myself. hahahah!!
 
i never did the clustering: i like to see, but not on my pages :)
And, ooooh, AAM journaling ............. i love quotes and lyrics!
 
white space. can't do it. seems like such a WASTE! why leave empty space when you can fill it with PHOTOS, or journaling, or CLUSTERS!!! Love me some buttons, flowers, ribbons, balloons, lollipops, candy canes...glitter and stitching! Love a mess. an organized mess, but a mess all the same. but white space? yikes!

You can use them as an element - I just got some so must try them - they are great if they coordinate with the kit - but many are neutral

you can also add to them - flower, brad lace etc to make them personal.
or use them to put your title on.

must check out Daily Digi - this is where the idea sprang from I thinking!

Okay, I finally get it. . . part of the "Project Life" thing with Becky Higgins/Jessica Sprague. I've heard of people talking about it, but never looked into it before. If I were a young mom, I'd be tempted to scrap that way. It might even be "the way" to do Project 365 if I decide to do it again next year (taking this year off). I can see I would have to adapt if for my preferred format (8.5 x 11). Thanks for all your help in directing me to the right spot.
 
Hangups or things I just don't want to do or have? the latter included buttons or flowers esp things that might look like the ones Prima sells. It took me a long time to include stitching on pages, cause there's no way in you know what that I'd ever be doing that with a machine. Can you tell I was never a paper scrapper???

I finally jumped into the art journaling but that has to be a certain mood for me. Mostly I just want a record of my life . Simple pages and stories though I can do long journaling fairly easily.

Oh...cardboard or dried up tape will most likely never be on my pages either. Just not my style.
 
Hang-ups? I'm pretty much an any-thing goes type BUT I do admit, I prefer starting out with a template *for a traditional style page*. For an art journal page, you can't really start out with a template. Flowers, buttons and "crap" like that I didn't used to "get", but now I'm okay with using them.

My current bugaboos are similar to Amber's: tons of white space with itty bitty photos? Yeah, I know it's a particular style, but to me, it's a waste of *space*. To others, art journaling would be a waste of space, too, so, *shrugs*.

Huge bold papers. Love them, have a hard time using them.

There are templates for that size page, if that's what you prefer using. :bounce:
