......... tornados that I read about at another site?? and I am not talking about Nana Linda and her posting frenzy this month at the O! LOL! :)

Seriously, I truly hope you guys are keeping safe ( for those in affected areas). ::grouphug

We only get cyclones down under and normally they happen in the northern parts of Queensland and away over on the upper west coast of Western Australia. Where I live, we tend to get an aftermath of a cyclone like heavy rains or strong winds, we actually haven't been hit by one! (touch wood!)

not so far, and I hope to keep it that way- although I should shut down cause there is a thunderstorm 30 miles away! I need to go walk on the treadmill anyways!

Normally, we here in the Midwest are in "tornado alley". But the biggest storms have been south and east of us. I'm always amazed at the power these things have.

Just heavy thunderstorms this weekend and high winds earlier today.. But no.

Sad reading some other stories!

Everything normal out here on west coast Canada - rain, rain, rain ........

occasional glimpse of the sun.

actually we are very blessed with the weather here - nothing out of the ordinary -

Yes I am thinking of everyone!! It is so terrible - all of those people without homes (tornadoes and massive flooding)....mother nature is just soooo powerful. (((hugs))) Sending prayers your way! I hope everyone is safe!

I've also read that thread. At least I think you point to the one from Bren?
In the netherlands we never get those tornados or those kind of things. Everytime I see them on tv, or read something about it, I feel lucky that we don't have them. But keep thinking a lot about the ppl that have expierenced those. And the damage they do!

ONe of the things about being at home all the time is I see all of these things on the news all the time....some days I have to force myself to not watch the news channels because of the devistation. It is very sad!!! My heart goes out to these people for sure!!! Prayers too!!

We get very small twisters this time of year. They don't do that type of damage, it's more roof damage, or it might take out some storage buildings in the yards. Right where I live is not far from the base of a mountain, so we never have seen any here in our neighborhood, that mountain protects us.

NJ doesn't typically get tornadoes- occasionally a small one will hit, but usually they are very small. Same as with earthquakes. We do get them, but more of a shaking feeling than any damage.

Hurricanes and blizzard, those we get.

I can't watch the news, I only read it online.... After 9-11 and the psychological damage that did to me.... I can't deal with the images.

But my heart breaks- there seems to be so much turmoil in the world both natural and man made. Sad :(

luckily we don't get tornado's out here , only heavy storms and they are scary enough.
nature is so overwhelming sometimes, hard to imagine the destruction and I do feel for all the people that get hit by it all.
