Are you making anything for the holidays? Gifts, food, whatever?

I always do a lot of handmade items. I crocheted a shawl for my DS's GF and finally finished it yesterday.

(ignore my double chin, I don't know how kids these days take selfies and look good in them)

I also baked tarallis and biscotti for my parents. They are in the freezer so no pics just yet. And I am in the process of making ornaments for my DD and her fiance. Hopefully. pics to come soon.

I want to see what you are making too. Please show and tell us all about them

Does cleaning off the top of the kitchen island count? Because that is on the agenda of what I will be creating today...uncluttered space. Brian will like it...kids won't know the difference. ROFL

I'm going to be baking cookies with my BFF this weekend but that's about it for this year. I have made many gifts in past years but not lately.

Love all of your projects. I'm not doing anything this year, but I have made lots of gifts in the past.

I wanted to take a look at your double chin, but somehow the photo is gone LOL. I also wanted to see your handmade items!

I don't do anything extra for Christmas. Nothing handmade, nothings that takes a lot of time. Simply because I don't have the time between work, the household and the holidays. And I'm happy to be a week off from December 27 till January 2. I need a break and I need some time for myself.
And I still want to see if your double chin is a big as mine #kiss

@jeanette, the photo didn't show up? I'll try to upload it again.

@marijke you are making home pasta? That sounds delicious!!

I make a lot of handmade things and you would think I would learn to *start earlier!!*

@EvelynD2 Thank you! I had the yarn which reminded me of GF's hair. It used to be bright pink, now teal with some pink in it. Crazy reason to pick yarn but it works :D

Wow! That sounds amazing!

when I retired I bought a thermomix - a fantastic machine ... the stock pastes are made in it ... everything in the mixing bowl - and after a 1/2 hour a portion is ready ... everything pure and no preservatives . ..
while my thermomix friend is working i can do something else...
easy to use - little washing up ... :)

The scarf is lovely. I'm not making anything this year but other years I have made Xmas cards, decoupaged dog containers and baked dog treats, made homemade wreaths and made candles. I haven't made any homemade gifts for quite a few years now. I've gotten lazy :)

I have never crocheted or knitted. Can't see myself having that much patience!! LOL Bravo to you, @faerywings .
I make presents every year, mostly due to necessity, but also because I love to. This year I've made a dress for GD, out of fabric scraps. It was fun to find a section of fabric we had hand painted a few years ago and it was finally put to use. :) Her mom like very "current" styles, so I made the bodice out of a new t-shirt.
I've yet to do the DIL and DD's tunic/dusters. I bought white ones on Amazon, and I am going to dye paint them on Saturday. Hoping it all goes really well, lol! And I have GS's sweatshirt that I'm going to stencil a lion on the back. And two small baskets to weave for the girls. Starting those tomorrow. :)
We did a very different tree this year- it is the tree that we got for free. I absolutely LOVE it. Normally we go traditional with lots of gold. But this year I felt I wanted a woodland theme, so I made some ornaments, cut some wonderful curvy vine from the yard and wound it around the tree. We cut some branches with red berries and portioned them to be small accents. To top it off we added fairy lights. I think it is the best tree and definitely the one that gives most joy out of our 40 years together. :D

I honestly do not have the time to craft/make anything for gifting since I have to host 3 parties (8ppl, 24 ppl,18ppl) so all my free time is used to prep food as much as possible!

Well, I guess my photo of Sven fits in this thread too.

Still not finished with his wife Hilma, since I'm a bit under the weather. She's about half way done. Her hat is pink with burgundy stripes, and I will make braids instead of the beard.

I was pretty unhappy with the way the ornaments looked but then I remembered I had spooky ribbons so I added that to some of them. Here are a few of the finished ones:
