Ready for school?

Is it just me or does it feel like school vacation just started? I can't believe next Monday our kids will be back in the classroom.

If you have kids, are you ready to be going back to the school schedules? If you don't have kids, are you ready for the 6am squeaky brakes school buses?

I am retired and I love to watch all the kiddies waiting for the school bus. They are so animated. The teenagers, all stand aside individually, most of them on their cellphones. I'm just hoping that the little kiddies don't grow up too fast. I love when kids still interact with one another!

In Belgium, the summer vacation runs from July 1 to September 1 ... my granddaughter starts her last kindergarten class ...

I no longer have school-going children, and luckily, as Marijke told us, we can still enjoy quiet traffic without school-going children for a few more weeks: D

Here school start on September 15th, as still is too hot and we are in summer mood. Kids can't concentrate, and don't worth AC to run so early, over electricity consumed is bad for the schools budget as for the planet too.
I don't have child and don't care. But streets are more quiet and better for dog walks when they are occupied at school :roll:, I wasn't thought about that before, but yes it's a nice bonus of autumn, I guess. :biggrin:

My kids go back to college Sept 6th (IIRC). They commute to the same school so I get to keep 'em with me home a little while longer.
Thankfully, my town's school bus runs are *early.* I can say thankfully now that I don't have to drive them to the bus stop at 6:45 am any more LOL. By the time I have to go anywhere, I normally don't get stuck behind them. My kids are both graduating in May so this will be the last Fall Back to School for us. *sniffs*

In our region school starts september 1, so does uni live for my son.
And school busses are not standard here, kids usually walk to school and the older ones go on their bikes.
At 8.15 lots of kids walk through the neighborhood to get to school on time, starts at 8.30.

I don't think our schools have AC they just open the window!
