Random Question about Journaling

I guess it's not really journaling, but I'm curious what voice people use when journaling an album of an event.

I ask because I'm working on our Disney World book right now and I find myself switching. Sometimes, I talk in third person - using Mommy, Daddy, Ben. Sometimes I go first person, "I did this and Ben did this." And sometimes, I address it to Ben. "You loved this."

I want to go back and make it consistent, but I can't decide which way to do it. I'm taking an informal poll on who does what.

Thanks Audrey. Do you use third person? "I saw Ben." or do you pretend like you talking to someone? "I saw you."

I think I am going to end up saying I, but using Ben instead of "you". That way...when other people read it, it makes sense to them. I know it doesn't matter that much. It's the Anal Retentive person in me!

What if you say, "Ben, I saw you....." That way people know who you're talking to but it's still personal. Maybe?

Most of the time I use "I" and talk to the people....I think in my head I am thinking that 50 years down the road, I want everyone to know WHO DID ALL THAT WORK MAKING THOSE PAGES!! :becky: But the downside to that is 50 years from now, they are going to wonder WHO is writing it...HAHA!!! A lot of times I sign it, NANA

But I have been thinking about this lately anyway, and I am thinking my books will have a page in the back listing all the characters in the book....the range of the dates too...as well as birthdates of the people. This would go a long way to helping those interested in their ancestry.

I use third person except when it is me....

Love the idea of putting a back page with names, places dates etc. Now why didn't I think of that? ;)
thanks, Nana

I usually... don't think and do it like vicki... I we you or even Je Tu or nous...
Yes I switch some LO are in english some are in french... in my regular album

I am finishing my P366 for 2012, I did 52 Layouts with Sue Cummings Free 52 project sampler

It is all in english, and it was just great for the whole time except for the summer vacation in france... there it was SO hard to document in english stuff which happen in french... but I am answering out, now... sorry
But at least you know that "some" are even less consistent than you ( and they don't really care) *blush*
