I'll admit it - I LOVE Peeps!! I know that they'll be around this weekend with it being Easter. I seriously cannot resist Peeps.
How about you?
How about you?
LOL! Amanda, hubby will not eat anything else BUT Cadbury chocolate eggs!! lol!! btw, did you know that some of the Cadbury chocolate is made in Australia, in my little state of Tasmania and in the state of Victoria. The main factory in Tasmania is down south near Hobart. It is also produced in England where it originally began.Hmmm, not so much. Don't think I liked them when I was young either. I look forward to Cadbury eggs this time of year instead!!!

Ona, that sounds like a field trip to me! I would want to tour that factory and get samples! I love Cadbury eggs! They remind me a little bit of Smarties- the version of M&M's I would eat as a child when we lived in Germany. They tasted different that M&M's. I liked them better and have been tempted to buy them from Amazon even though they are pricey.LOL! Oh, I was going to say that in my post but I thought I was the only one. I let them set out for just a few minutes to get a little hard. They're especially good a few days later.I first fell in love with peeps way back when whey were hand trimmed. To meet the holiday demand (Easter only)production had to start early. So by time they got to the consumer, they were slightly stale -- not hard, but not soft and fluffy they are today. I really miss those original peeps and some years I pack them away, hoping they harden up a little.
I seriously thought I was the only one who liked stale Peeps.LOVE peeps! Especially when they're a little bit stale!
When I used to eat chocolate, I loved Cadbury eggs. My dad loved them and ate them whenever we could find them.Hmmm, not so much. Don't think I liked them when I was young either. I look forward to Cadbury eggs this time of year instead!!!
I've loved Peeps my whole life - I just heard they had a new flavor this year - bubble gum.I LOVE Cadbury eggs!!!

Unfortunately they stopped having factory tours last December, I never went, but a few people that I know said was such a fascinating tour and you just about ended up comatose with the amount of chocolates they gave you to sample!! lol!
The article is fascinating! I read that they also have a factory in Toronto that makes Cadbury mini eggs!@EvelynD2 @Cherylndesigns

There are all sorts of crazy flavors this year---buttered popcorn, sparkling berry, Dr. Pepper, Hot Tamale (my favorite) are some of the ones I've heard of.

See, this thread hasn't only been about peeps lovers vs peeps dislikers, but it's been a history lesson too. Thanks, Ona!! You brought us history lessons on Cadbury eggs. Those are lovely little creations, too. This little subsiduary factory (down near the beach we take the dogs for a run) collects a lot of the milk from the surronding farms to be trucked down to Hobard for that 'Glass and a Half" of milk! lol!
