Has anyone here watched that series? I just finished the first season and I loved it. Does it stay that good?
I often get bored after the first or second season, but this show really got to me. I can't wait to see what is coming!
Also because of the beautiful lands in Scotland. I now definitely want to go there.
Did you know the two man characters Jamie and Dougal wrote at least two books together about their travels in Scotland?
I need to read them.

I read the books 9with mel Gibson as Jamie in my mind) and gave part 7 to 9 2 stars on Goodreads but I wanna know how or if it ends..The first books were 5 star material. But I don't know about the televisionseries

I have read all the books and have watched all the seasons! As is true in many cases, the books are better than the TV series, especially since some plot changes were made for the TV series that I didn't care for. If I remember correctly, the author is currently writing what will be the last book in the series. The TV series was delayed by a couple of years due to issues filming during COVID. It resumes this fall and I'm looking forward to it!

Have read or listened to all the books/audiobooks and loved them!! The tv series was good at first but they wandered away from a lot of things that happened in the books, yet still continued to watch them all. I made a layout years ago, lets see if I can find it.

I have read and re-read the books and waiting for the last book......... at which time I will re-read the preceding two books so I can remember them! lol! Started watching the TV series but just couldn't get into it, the actor for Jamie was a good choice but I just couldn't take to Claire, she was all different in my head so I didn't continue with it. I have seen glimpses of later episodes with Brianna and her husband (?), but they too don't fit the characters I had dreamed up in my head!!! Funny that you had Mel Gibson in your head @Nickel, maybe after he was in Braveheart maybe??

I had the same thing with Harry Potter. The first Dumbledore was exactly how I had him in mind. The second one, a great actor I'm sure, for me he just wasn't Dumbledore.

I love this show and I'll get back to it eventually, I need to catch up on the last few seasons. Life just got busy and I couldn't keep up with all shows so this one slipped away from me. But, I definitely want to catch up. Never read the books so find the actors great in this, with no preconceived ideas in my head of what they should be like.

Yes! I didn't see the movie but a lot of promo material!

Oh Braveheart was brilliant and the music was divine, with beautiful scenery! It wasn't historically correct but still a great movie.

The music is divine for Outlander, too. I have read the books many times and turned my oldest son onto them. He loves them, too. We watched most of the series and it's good, you just have to not remember the books. I love the soundtrack and often listen to it while scrapping or doing genealogy.
