November Art Journal Challenge Week Four {Gratitude}

The Loopy-O

This month has been full of inspiration and Gratitude. As I have worked through each week, I have noticed myself recognizing many things that I have to be grateful for even when it feels elusive. As always, this week will be a wrap-up, a way to pull everything together that we have encountered within ourselves on this journey.

Let's think about our progress, those little things that stick out for you as little flashes of appreciation. Was it something you thought, a remembrance of how you look for the light? Was it something you held in your hand, a warm cup of tea, or a child's hand? Or maybe it was the sense of resilience you know you have inside, that *thing* that keeps you getting out of bed every morning that knows you can show the world that you don't take any of it for granted.

Do you have something in mind?
If you do, go ahead and scrap your heart out, you've got this!
If you don't- that is absolutely A-OK. Start scrapping even if it's just with a blank paper. Just do it.
One lesson I took from this month's challenge is that when you feel empty, even alone- there is always --always!-- something inside you to be proud of, to be inspired by, to be *grateful* for. I know it is in me and I am sure it is you. Sometimes, it needs a little teasing out. So open up your program, grab a blank paper or a full kit, and have fun. I know you got this, we all do. ♥
For me, I focused on my progress from feeling very much in the dark to recognizing that I am not alone, and there is always light when you remember that.

As I journaled through each week, I used the imagery of the clocks and hands and ended up being pretty fascinated by how each LO evolved.

You can choose to do a single page/tag/TN each week, or do a divided template - one part for each week. If you don't have the Divided Template and would like to have it, you can get it here at Dropbox. Thank you to Ona @wombat146 for providing the template choices for us! If you do the template, we would love it if you would post it incrementally. Post one done in the first week, post an image of the two together on the second, and three on the third, and then the finished page on the fourth week.

Again - the template is NEVER a requirement to use, just something fun and different if you want to use it.

Everyone who participates in any of this month's challenges will be entered into a drawing for a $5 gift certificate to Oscraps. You can receive up to four entries into this month's drawing.

I can't wait to see what you have to share about the prompt {gratitude}

Challenge Rules:
You have until 11:59 p.m. CST on November 30 to complete your pages for this challenge.

  1. To qualify for the drawing, you need to use 80% Oscraps products that are currently in the store (non-Oscraps products or retired O designer products can be used whether the designer is selling elsewhere or not).
  2. You need to credit all the products used on your page.
  3. You cannot use a page you create for this challenge for another Oscraps challenge.
  4. Upload your page to the Art Journal Gallery and then add your layout to the challenge thread. (Below you will find instructions on adding your page to this thread.)
Adding a linked layout from the Gallery to a thread:

  • Upload your layout to the gallery first. In your forum post click the Gallery Embed icon (little camera).
  • This will open your gallery, simply click on the layout you require, then scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click the Continue button.
  • Your linked layout is now in your post, the image will appear once you have clicked the Post Reply button

Very thought provoking words, Chris. The theme this month has been awesome. I did an AJ page for the challenge, then I tried out Ona's template to document my first AJ month. This is such fun and I'm thrilled it will continue through December.

Chris, I noticed your template from last month, and it inspired me to give it a go. I really love the way you created your template for this months too.

A wrap up on gratitude. Oh this might be hard but I love love love how you are all putting the four pages together. I have "snippets" of ideas running in my mind, I just need to see what actually ends up on the paper. I wish I could scarp about certain people in my lives but I cant put them online. FIL is one of those people. I learned so much from him and was so thankful to have him in my life for 32 years. Might need to find a symbol and scrap about it. Thankful for so much. How do we wrap it up?

Tracy, beautifully said. This "wrap-up" is not easy and the fact that you can't scrap it makes it even more difficult. Symbolism definitely works and I think that might be a wonderful way to scrap about him. That's the beauty of the "divided template". I hope you give it a try and it works out for you. I love the alternative that it gives us. You have been such a wonderful asset to our challenges - we're so happy that you're loving Art Journaling like you do. :heartpumpred: :heartpumpred: :heartpumpred:
