Hello and welcome to Week 2 of our November Art Journaling Challenges. Our Word Prompt for November is GRATITUDE. This is a big topic and for me, it means so many things and mainly includes so many people.
I've put together a mood board of some images and sayings that spoke to me, and I hope they speak to you. You don't have to use any of them on your layout, but you can. I hope you get some inspiration from one of them.
I was particularly drawn to the quote "It's not happiness that brings us gratitude. It's gratitude that brings us happiness" ~ Anonymous
Here's my layout and you know I have a story behind my page.
Remember Covid? I know you do. WAY before that, my family traveled west to the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. to see if we might possibly want to move there. Our son-in-law's family lived in the area, and he wanted to buy a parcel of land, and we would all build homes on it. We went, saw, and loved - my late husband absolutely fell in love with this area. Fast forward to Covid - we had all made the commitment to move, but we couldn't even travel back and forth to make decisions. My husband was afraid to get on an airplane, (because of Covid)- so we had to trust the family. Even though it was by long distance, thanks to modern technology, I was hands on with every decision made about our new home, down to what kind of drawer pulls would be in our kitchen. We did a lot of Facetiming and movies were made and sent to us. Our son-in-law's brother was the General Contractor for all of our homes, so we were in very close contact throughout the building process. We FINALLY moved into our home on December 26, 2020.
You can choose to do a single page/tag/TN each week, or do a divided template - one part for each week. If you don't have the Divided Template and would like to have it, you can get it here at Dropbox. Thank you to Ona @wombat146 for providing the template choices for us! If you do the template, we would love it if you would post it incrementally. Post one done in the first week, post an image of the two together on the second, and three on the third, and then the finished page on the fourth week.
Again - the template is NEVER a requirement to use, just something fun and different if you want to use it.
Everyone who participates in any of this month's challenges will be entered into a drawing for a $5 gift certificate to Oscraps. You can receive up to four entries into this month's drawing.
I can't wait to see what you have to share about the prompt GRATITUDE
