:cheer2: Hi everyone
I am new to the group. My name is Mags, 49 and I live in Puerto Rico, Island of the Caribbean. I speak both English and Spanish. Raised in the USA, but now live in Puerto Rico.. Planning on moving back to US (New Jersey). I am not sure how this group works, but I guess someone will head me in the right direction. Thanks very much for having me.
Hugs & blessings to all.

hi, Mags. the Group really doesn't have any rules as to how it "works." just jump right in! have a look at the "chatter" sections and, of course, the challenges. wander around in the gallery and leave some love for pages you admire. post some pages! WELCOME to Oscraps!

New member with some basic questions

Hi there,

I have been following this site and purchased some products recently. I managed to post my first item this evening, however I really had to work extremely hard to get the file down under the very small file size restriction of 250 Kb. So, being that I am a huge Photoshop geek (CS6 Extended is the current version I use), and my .psd files are generally 75 - 300 Mb, how do you suggest that I format the image to best fit into the size format.

For example, I generated a .jpg image, 72 pixels per inch, and it was 400 x 400 px.

Is there a general size in terms of dimensions...because when I found my image I uploaded to the Member Gallery, it appears to be smaller than pretty much everything your other members upload. SO, any assistance would be helpful, I did a search of the forums and nothing came up relative to this topic expect for file size limitation.

I hope you enjoy the file I uploaded, and I look forward to getting some feedback on preferred dimensions and format so that I can upload properly from this point forward.

Cheers,
Mike (IslandHopperz)

Normally I flatten my image of course and then save it as a jpeg 72 pixels and 600 x600 that should give you the proper size. Hope this helps you!!
