New Color Attraction?

You know how you are typically attracted to certain colors and turn away from others? I usually am drawn to jewel tones of blues/teals/purples. I avoid orange/red/yellows.
But all of a sudden, I am adoring the pages in the Gallery that use yellow predominantly. As in-- so many of my *favorite* pages are yellow. I am not switching over to scrap with lots of yellow (yet!?!?) but seem to comment on so many that use it.

Have you ever started liking a color a lot that you previously disliked? And did you ever start scrapping with that color? How did you feel about the results?

Yes! Green!! When I was a little kid, green was my favorite color. Then as a teenager I began hating green. haha Now, I've found myself using more & more green, in my paintings & digi layouts AND I even bought a green outfit! (What is wrong with me?? haha) I'm loving it now though. I guess not only food taste has surprised me, lately, but colors also. Funny that you brought this up, here, as I was talking to my friend, in Florida, about this very topic, last week. (great minds....)

I haven't really paid attention yet, although I noticed that one of our cheeryos also uses a lot of yellow and now I don't know who that is anymore, but it's not you Chris

I was gothic in high school, and now I'm in totally opposite direction: animal prints, mostly influenced by the rock musician I adore and he make them fancy. But I seriously doubt that I'll start use animal prints in my scraping :tongue1: .

Felis- I am surprised that you wouldn't use animal prints.

I mostly like neutral colours, black, white, light brown, gold etc and add one ore two colours and every now and then i surprise myself with a very bright page.
So bright colours are the ones i do not use very much.

I remember one time when we discussed fav colours etc, that i said i did not like green, and when i looked at my gallery there was a lot of green there!

I do prefer less colours over more,
When there is a colour pallet of lots of/9 colours i will never use them all, just pick my favs.

I am so drawn to PINK. I don't know why, but i love it. But, I won't wear it and I don't decorate my home with it at all!

I love neutrals myself but always with some white, pink, yellow or lavender.... it is hard to say because it depends on the mood.... LOL
