Hey Everyone!

It’s Friday and time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes.

Each Friday the AnnaTeam selects one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration page and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Choose ONE idea from the page to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. There is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay. Be inspired and create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery. Upload your page by Thursday 5.3.12 by NOON EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift ’ and one lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5 GiftKard to Anna’s shop. The winner will be posted each Thursday here in the forum.

This week the AnnaTeam selected this absolutely stunning work of art by Lilly-10 ‘Monterosso’ as this week’s AnnaLift inspiration page

Monterosso1.jpg

Lilly-10’s page is a gorgeous mix of colors and textures created by blending two photos together. The ‘serene’ landscape of the sea and the uneven hanging branches of the tree flow beautifully into one another. Her use of the loopdaloop and metal brad draw attention to the single word ‘Monterosso’ and even the font has a cool flow to it. She finishes off the page with the simple word ‘serene’ tucked softly in among her blending. The mix of Lilly-10’s artsy blending with Anna’s ArtPlay have created this amazing feeling of ‘serene’ in this beautiful page for us to be inspired by this week.

Our AnnaFriend, Karen, asked for some blending help in a recent post in the forum. Check out this wealth of information that was shared and all the amazing links to blending tips and tricks that were offered in response to her blending question. Another reason to love the O people!!

Check out Lilly-10’s page and check out some of the blending links that were shared for more inspiration. If you have not played with Anna’s ArtPlays this is the challenge to just PLAY and see what you can create. We would love to see your page in the Anna gallery and if you want we’d love to have you share your blending tip in your page info. We always want to know, ‘How’d they do that?!’ (if you remember how you did it that is!)

I really loved this page so much I tried to copy it as closely as I could.

Thanks so much for letting me play and try some new techniques!

Cool AnnaLift this week--Monterosso by Lilly-10! I was inspired by the concept of 2 blended photos.
Thanks for the wonderful inspiration, Lilly!

I had almost the same photo as Lilly-10 of Monterosso, but mine was a bit blurry, so I used 3 other photos from this Cinque Terre town, blending them as per Ona's April techniques challenge. A 4th photo provided the Monterosso sign.

A fairly literal lift, but the original was so beautiful :)

Beautiful pick this week, as are all weeks. Wish I had time to play but my nieces graduation album needs to get done. Will have to come back and revisit this once I finish.
