It’s time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes. The AnnaTeam selects one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Be inspired, create your own ‘AnnaLift,’ upload your page to the Anna gallery and include it here in this forum thread. Upload your page by Friday 11.10.17 by 8:00 pm EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift. ’ One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5.00 GiftKard to Anna’s shop.

HOW IT WORKS: Each Saturday the AnnaTeam posts one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration page and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Then enjoy artfully playing—there is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay.

Choose ONE idea to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. Be inspired, create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery, plus include it here in this forum thread. It would be great if you could link back to your page in the gallery too!

Anna’s products mix well with so many kits/designers and Anna welcomes you to include these with your Anna Products on your AnnaLift page.

THIS WEEK WE ARE LIFTING:

Girl of Light by tigress



Bright and beautiful accurately describes this week’s lift. An exquisitely blended photo of an enchanting woman bathed in light dominates the design. Varying shades of color that graduate from a muted pink to a bright coral flit across the layout creating a pleasing and luminous ambience. The light yellow source from the feather on the frame’s edge creates movement and leads the eye across the layout to the other sunny feather—all while effectively balancing the design. An innovative frame that lets the background color peeks through helps grounds the art while also adding depth and dimension. A word transfer and a colored beaded threadz woven across the layout express the design’s theme and add the perfect accent. This prolific designer is also a very talented storyteller as her art often conveys a beautifully crafted visual message as this effervescent art brightly shows.

IDEAS TO INSPIRE: Use ONE or MORE of the following in your AnnaLift layout.
• Use an “open” frame that showcases the background color as a design accent.
• Pick a one-color palette using all of its various hues, shades, and tints. Add in pleasing complimentary colors.
• Play with blending modes or a use a gradient to add interest and dimension.
• Experiment with lighting by adding glows, LightLeaks or another light source.
• Accent with interesting brushwork, using a variety of brushes in a variety of colors.
• Incorporate your title into the artwork and/or use interesting or unusual title like bead threadz.

I love Anna's threaded bead word art, so used Tigress's version as my inspiration. I had this quote in mind for a page, and this brought it to fruition. Thanks Tigress!

beautiful inspiration piece! i took inspiration from the dictionary transfer & the blended rainbow shot - i used FotoGlowz instead of LightLeaks but kept the open frame & blurred colours look with the main photo having too much motion blur in it for me to use normally, but here it is a feature. i also used the wooden word art piece to add title dimension like in the Tigress' piece. TFL

I went with a soft one color palette instead of bold but liked the open photo and the dictionary word art.

I was fascinated with the idea of framing with feathers, and was pleasantly surprised to find one in my supplies :)

Once again I made a LO w/ a friend's pic b4 getting permission. (You'd think I'd know better by now!) If they say yes, I'll post and come back with it. If not, I'll make another. Hope they hurry with an answer!

He said yes :)
