Mye DeLeon needs your help

many of us may have come across Mye DeLeon a designer in our travels.
She needs a lot of support at the moment...can you help /Even if it's only by letting her know she's in your prayers and you are thinking of her and her family. You can read all about it here
I hear there is a collab kit on it's way- amazing how the digiworld gets together in times of need.

I wish I could do more, but I just bought a kit from her. Scott was born with atrial-septal defect and thankfully didn't need surgery. Just being admitting to the hospital at 3 weeks old with respiratory failure was horrible enough. I cannot imagine how terrifying and worrying this is for her family.

Many many good thoughts to her and to her adorable little boy!

Will you be posting updates at all? Especially when the charity kit becomes available?

How sad. And it makes me count my blessings that we have insurances for surgeries like these in the Netherlands.

yes that's what I find so incredible , that you have to find the money yourself for the operation. Does this mean that people who cannot raise it stand no chance??

We were just talking about that here at home. How blessed we are to live in Sweden. All medical help is free for kids - up to the age of 20. Meds, doctors, surgery, whatever.

My husband's aunt is from the Philippines as well and I know from her stories that if you have someone in your family in the hospital there that they can't go home until the family pays the hospital bill. So with the surgery Mye's son needs they need to pay upfront or he won't get it with the most horrible thought as the end result. Many countries are indeed privileged with excellent health care and insurance etc. but it's not the same all over the world. I am so happy to see so many people trying to help Mye and her family so baby Alphonse can have his surgery!

From what I've read, the collab will be available at Mye's store, Pixels and Company, a new digi store. It should be ready after the 12th Jan. It's great that various designers are helping her out. I hope it will help her to raise enough money for the operation.

What a shocking story. I can't believe that you have to pay for such a livesaving opration. I'm glad that there are some initiatives like the kit! I'll follow her news and hope that everything will be allright!
