My yearly cold has arrived!

Why is it that, just like clockwork, every January I get the most miserable cold ever! I mean, knock down, drag out, put me to bed cold!!! Well, my 2017 edition as arrived-----FULL FORCE! I have done nothing this week but lie here in my recliner, a full array of medications on my side table and drink green tea and honey until I feel like I am going to float!! It is now day 5 and I actually feel like I have joined the human race again!!!
I think, next year on January 1st, I am going to wrap myself in bubble wrap and see if I can sneak through the month staying healthy!!! Does anyone else go through this?

There have been many Januarys where this happened to me. I got mine the first part of December this go round. The January thing, I always attributed to the stress of the holidays. I'd finally get to January and my body gave itself permission to let down its guard! One year the cough lasted for 6 weeks. That really cuts into spring golf in Arizona! LOL Glad to hear you are improving. Once mine left (December), it was gone! No lingering cough this time. Hope it is that way for you.

I hope it's not that horrible coughing virus going around. I had that back in November and it knocked me out for almost two weeks. Still have a bit of the cough, too. Get better, Nancy!

Is that what it's called? After I got sick in Jan of 2016, I coughed for about 9 months!!!! Couldn't go anywhere without my bag of Hall's drops!!!! It was horrible!!

O sO silly
Are you sure it's not something allergic? My hubby and one of my student's mom have the same symptoms and it takes a long time to get rid of. Might be something in the air now.
Anyway, I hope you feel better soon!

I usually get sick in the late fall. I was sick all of November and thought I'd never be well again. glad you're starting to feel better.

I was taking a blood pressure medication for awhile. Found out one of the side effects is a chronic cough! My doctor asked if I could live with it!!!!! NO!!!!!! She switched me to something else.

For me it was November, turned out to be bronchites!
Felt great after a week of medication but a week later it was back to the usual coughing and sneezing of a cold. Now i'm fine again.

Take care Nancy, pamper yourself!

oh no...it's so tiring all that coughing and snottering. I thought mine was improving after 2 courses of anti- biotics but after 2 1/2 months I'm back to square 1 .
Looks like another visit to the gp is in order.
I have to go to a funeral tomorrow and am dreading that
I'll disturb the service.. I better sit at the back near the door.
Wishing you all well and plenty of sunshine to come.
