Our cat Prins is 17 years old. He's never been a cuddle cat, but he loves lying next to me, or somewhere close to me. He's is very small and thin, but never the less, very healthy. He is a real cat, he knows what he wants, and he does exactly how he wants.

The other day my son came home on his scooter. When he road around the corner, the cat ran right in front of his scoooter. My son couldn't stop anymore, he drove over the cat.
My son was in shock, and the cat was limping.
Next day we went to the vet.
The cat has a tear in his pelvis, and probably some nerve damage. He is on painkillers right now.
We do believe he will get better. Maybe he will be limping for the rest of his life, but he will be okay.

I'm so happy our little grumpy old friend isn't leaving us yet.

Oh, Jeannette, I know that had to crush your son, for that to happen, even though it wasn't his fault. I hope his pain will subside soon and that he isn't too lame from the injured pelvis. I hope for a full recovery for him. He's so cute.

Oh what a sweet baby, I love his hat. I hope that he feels better and heals quickly.
How is your son taking it? He must feel awful.

I understand about a cat that doesn't want to be held but lies next to you, our 14 year old Lily does the same. I'm sorry about the accident and hope your son isn't too traumatized. Definition of accident is it couldn't be helped. Thank goodness she is okay and will recover. cats are amazing at adapting!
