You are so welcome, Cheryl! It costs around $20 to rent the movie but it was so worth it. It is based on a true story and it was a wonderful movie.
We never mind renting a movie that's really good. It costs way more than that to go to a movie theater.

That is so true. I haven't been to the movies in a while. I kind of like sitting in my recliner with my blanket and my dog! :dancingdog:
I detest going to the theater. I used to take my grandchildren once in awhile, but otherwise, I have to be dragged there. Last time i took the kids, it cost SO much because of course they want goodies. I used to spoil them when i took them. :heartpumplove:

me too!!
Besides, I am very short and always got stuck sitting behind the tallest person in the audience.
Although, even someone "normal height" would have blocked my view! LOL!
And then, every time you find a place around them, they move right into that spot. I detest it!!

YES!!!!
I knew -- and @scribler -- would understand LOL!
Oh that used to be such a big issue for me. Constantly having the screen blocked. Then I married David and he loved to sit at the front of the theater. It's the least popular place and with the great stadium seating where we usually go, I don't often have this problem anymore. Thankfully.

i much prefer going to the theatre - thanks to amc stubs it was so cheap to see movies even in dolby, imax or 3d , but you have to buy for several months so can no longer afford it for me and hubby. guess i f you have a large screen tv like 75 inches o r m ore and a great sound system it would be okay at home. I have neither but it is the only way to see movies now . oh would never pay 20 to rent any movie as no movie is worth that as you may as well see it in the theatre for that price. if its not on a streaming service than it is not watched.

We usually don't pay that much to watch a movie at home but it would have been that much to see it in the theater had I been able to go. The problem is, I am unable to go to a theater yet since I just finished chemo. My immune system is recovering but now it is also flu and covid season so I must stay in. I do enjoy the theater when I am able to go and am a big fan of the popcorn bucket. You can buy a bucket and then it is refilled for a reasonable price each time to go. There is nothing like movie popcorn!

I haven't heard of this one, I will have to check it out. I honestly can't remember the last time I was in a movie theater. I always ended up behind the tall person too and inevitably I had the talkers behind me and the worst offense is that the popcorn is too salty. :)
@EvelynD2 I hope every day is a little bit better, and definitely err on the safe side with the immune system.

It was such a good movie! It has been a while since we have been to the theater. I’m done with all my treatments so I’m hoping we can go soon.

I'm on a waiting list at the library and last I looked I dropped from #108 to #57, so someday I'll get it. Meanwhile, I still recommend the BOOK!

We just saw it earlier this week and LOVED it! I think we’ve recommended it to everyone we’ve talked to since! Lol.
