thanks ladies!!! my sister called back this morning at around 4 to confirm that it was in fact a heart attack. this makes his 5th one in less than 2 years. :(

i don't know much yet except that by the time my mom left the hospital at around 3 this morning, he was so confused and irrate that they had to restrain him and sedate him. this reation seems to come with his heart attacks, as it happens almost everytime. but as far as "how he's doing", i'm not sure yet. i have to get the kids off to school and then i'm going up there. i'll check in later.

thanks for your prayers ladies!!!!!

I'm praying for healing of your dad and your aunt. I hope they recover quickly. I'm so sorry you have to be going through this.

Sending prayers to the great physican!!!!! HE can often does what we medical proffesionals call nothing short of MIRACLES.

thank you ladies so much for your thoughts and prayers!

miraculously, my dad bounced right back from this one. i can't believe it. they measure the enzymes on your heart to determine if indeed you did have a heart attack. a "normal" measurement is 0.5. my mother-in-law (who is an ICU nurse) said that a measurement of 2 or 3 is pretty serious and they are calling in the heart doctor for a heart cath. my dad's measurement when he went in the other night was 10!!! yet, 12 hours later, he was sitting up in his bed and talking just like normal. he had the heart cath yesterday and they said that they found a teeny bit of blockage, but nothing major and nothing that needs treating. so they are sending him home today. i am just blown away. his last heart attack back in september was nothing near the level of this one, yet he was in the hospital for over 3 weeks and had to have a triple bypass and be put back on the operating table 3 times before they were able to get him leveled out. it's just so strange.

but i am certainly not complaining. whether it makes sense or not... i'll take it. :)

aunt linda, again managed to stable out from her bad day the other day... however, her overall condition is just not good. her kidneys and liver are still not functioning and her body just literally seems to be deteriorating from all the toxins that releases... even with daily dialysis. they have managed to get her hands and feet into a condition to where amputation can finally be ruled out, however she has no use of any of them. she is miserable and her spirit is just at rock bottom. i would love if you all would specifically pray for comfort and for her spirits to just be lifted.

thank you everyone!!!

I just saw this, Amanda!! Both your dad and aunt are in my prayers! If there's anything I can do, don't hesitate!!

Amanda, I am so glad that your dad is holding steady despite the tests. I will keep him and your aunt in my prayers!
