Welcome to Week 3 of our March Art Journaling Challenges. This month, we're exploring the very interesting word prompt PERSPECTIVE. So, what does the word PERSPECTIVE really mean?

perspective /pər-spĕk′tĭv/

noun

  1. A view or vista.
  2. A mental view or outlook.
  3. The appearance of objects in depth as perceived by normal binocular vision.
Here are some quotes that I particularly liked:

* "Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth"
Marcus Aurelius
* "Where you stand determines what you see and what you do not see; it determines also the angle you see it from; a change in where you stand changes everything". Steve de Shazer
* It’s this perspective of us as humans to look at our world through the lens of ‘normal’ [that] is one of the forces that stops us developing real solutions".Justin Hall
* "Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing". Camille Pissarro
* "What we see depends mainly on what we look for". John Lubbock

Here's a mood board that I've put together for you that I hope gets your creative juices flowing.

Here's my inspiration layout. I was inspired by the last quote and love the perspective of tall buildings.

And now...some Housekeeping:

You can choose to do a single page/tag/TN each week, or do a divided template - one part for each week. If you don't have the Divided Template and would like to have it, you can get it here at Dropbox. Thank you to Ona @wombat146 for providing the template choices for us! If you do the template, we would love it if you would post it incrementally. Post one done in the first week, post an image of the two together on the second, and three on the third, and then the finished page on the fourth week.

Again - the template is NEVER a requirement to use, just something fun and different if you want to use it.

Everyone who participates in any of this month's challenges will be entered into a drawing for a $5 gift certificate to Oscraps. You can receive up to four entries into this month's drawing.

Challenge Rules:
You have until 11:59 p.m. CST on March 31st to complete your pages for this challenge.
  1. To qualify for the drawing, you need to use 80% Oscraps products that are currently in the store (non-Oscraps products or retired O designer products can be used whether the designer is selling elsewhere or not).
  2. You need to credit all the products used on your page.
  3. You cannot use a page you create for this challenge for another Oscraps challenge.
  4. Upload your page to the Art Journal Gallery and then add your layout to the challenge thread. (Below you will find instructions on adding your page to this thread.)
Adding a linked layout from the Gallery to a thread:
  • Upload your layout to the gallery first. In your forum post click the Gallery Embed icon (little camera).
  • This will open your gallery, simply click on the layout you require, then scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click the Continue button.
  • Your linked layout is now in your post, the image will appear once you have clicked the Post Reply button
I can't wait to see what you create for this week's challenge!

OK, my template is filling up nicely!
One more week to go (and it is mine to host, better get working on it! LOL)
This week:

Weeks 1-3

Oooohhhhhhh I love the layouts so far!!!!! This one snuck up on me when I wasn't stalking the thread!!!
It's hard to sneak up you, Tracy. You're usually stalking these threads. :floorlaugh: I posted it pretty late last night. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I'm going with the theory you posted while I was sleeping!!! :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: Ya ready?? Cause it started way different and only thing that stayed the same from start to finish was the song.

This LO started as part of Challenge 6 but morphed into AJ Week 3; I kept looking at the seagull which always reminds me of Jonathan Livingston Seagull movie and music which I love, and that took me to the changing in my perspective to my relationship with God (the 2 photos I blended together never changed, just everything else)!

Been struggling a bit past week: car battery died, Check from Art Intensive didn't get mailed to me,
Airline reservation put unauthorized hold on our savings, Wifi is out and phones messed up. Pretty crazy!!!
Perspective? - All things considered, these are First World problems! :giggle4:

MARCH ART JOURNALING – WEEK THREE – PERSPECTIVE – Thank you for the challenge, I had great ideas of trying to stick with the coloring of week 1 and 2, but it didn’t work out that way – everything is from – Secret Woodlands – Magical Reality Designs – Fonts – DJB Miss Liz – Calamity Jane
