Lasagna recipe by George Calombaris

Sorry-- i can't even begin to think of lasange with eggs and potatoes.... *shudders* The photo looks good, but I guess i like my mom's family recipe too much to mess with it. :)

Did you google it?

Yes Diane!! That's it!
I really couldn't find it....but I have to admit that I saw the 'pork and vale' title, and was sure it wasn't that recipe LOL
Thank you very much!!

I love them to LOL

Chris, I'm sure I will leave the eggs out. But I like the idea of a different lasagna. And he said it tasted even better the next day when it's cold :D
I'm curious about your familyrecipe if they allow to share it??!!?? ;-)
I always have the instant lasagnasauce. I actually have no idea how to make it myself.

Chris would love to have your family recipe for lasagna !!! Hint hint  nudge !!

Trudy-- my grandparents all were Italian peasants. Recipes were very basic and nothing fancy. Our gravy is just garlic, tomatoes pushed through a sieve, a bit of basil, and some tomato paste to thicken. Add the meat the last hour, cooked meatballs and sausage) and simmer.

Our lasanga is just noodle, gravy, ricotta and mozz. layered up. The only controvery is whether to use 2 eggs or 3 in the cheese. Dad's side used 3 and mom's side uses 2.
;)

Eggs in the cheese??

I've bought (almost) all the ingredients for George's lasagna. Will be making it today :D :D

Thanks Chris... sounds delicious and not too different from my recipe, I use two eggs LOL!!
