is it half empty?

this week I spotted lots of waterlillies in our canals here.

every year they grow in our city canals, but this year, the small tourboats are not allowed to go out, so the flowers grow and grow!
it is beautiful.

have you seen some positive changes in your environment since the lockdowns?

I read the Subject of this thread and immediately thought-- My glass is half empty at the moment. But then I saw the photos and it is now half full!!!
I haven't noticed too many changes locally since I live in a semi-rural area as it is. I have noticed a lot more people walking in the street, kids riding bikes so that is a nice change (for me, not my dogs!) the few times that I have driven out of town, there has been no traffic on the highways.
I love the idea of nature reclaiming some of its space while we aren't out there destroying it

Less noise from airplanes, love that. And less traffic, although it is getting more busy the lasts few weeks.
And on a personal note: my husband works from home, so now when it rains when I have to go to work he brings me with his car so I don't get wet

traffic is getting a lot busier here,
people don't like taking the train now, so they take the car.

Traffic doesn't seem to have affected all that much here but with hubby and I both home, we go for a walk almost every morning now and that's been lovely.

I'm gonna say half full cause I love having David work from home. But it's feeling half empty sometimes because I am tired of not doing anything different. Florida is open but David still stays home cause numbers are not good here and he has underlying health concerns. I'm ready for us to be able to do something together besides ride around in the car.
