Is it allowed to use a tube from other Designers?

Hello Ladies,
I have a question generally. Is it allowed to use tubes from PicsforDesign? I haven't seen any layouts with them here yet. I'm asking because during my "training" at the Graphic schools I bought many tubes for my lessons. Also little elves, beautiful ladies, all kind of animals etc. I have seen cute little gnomes in the gallery here, which are not available at Oscraps. What percentage of our layouts is made up by a purchased tube? Or is that rather uncommon here?
Thanks for feedback. Have a great Sunday afternoon! :drinks2:

Hello Susanne, our gallery guidelines can be found in this thread:

In short, any layout you post in the gallery must contain at least 50% Oscraps product that is currently found in the Oscraps shop. The other portion can be from any other designer you choose, as long as that portion is not more than 50%. You are encouraged to list the name of the non-Oscraps product/designer in your credits, however, you are not allowed to create a link to that product at another site.

I hope this helps!

Hi Susanne, to add to what Angie posted already, please make sure that any content also meets #6 in the Oscraps Gallery requirements

"Oscraps is considered a friendly, family environment where we want everyone to feel comfortable and safe, therefore, no nudity, obscene, racist, unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, offensive, defamatory and inciting political or religious material will be tolerated."

I only mention that as some of the tubes I have seen could very well fit into an adult only category. :giggle4:

Also, while the 50% ruling is for layouts uploaded to the O gallery, our challenges are different as the percentage of O products required is a lot higher, please double check any of the challenge rules you may be participating in. :)

Thank you, Ona! So would my layout be OK then? I bought the tube from PfD with a licence. I understood everything else.

I used ArtPlay Magoa Collection by Anna Aspnes

She reminds me of the old Betty Boo cartoons! lol! That's fine, in your credits, for the last line you can put something like:

A tube is to Paint Shop Pro (PSP) as a PNG is to PSE & PS CC (PhotoShop Elements/PhotoShop CC)...

Paint Shop Pro uses tube (.tub) files but they need to be converted to a PNG in order to be used in PSE/PS CC.

Basically a "tube" .tub file is a transparent file used in Paint Shop Pro graphic software. I hope that helps :)

------------------------------------------------------------------------

[What is a TUB file?

File used by PaintShop Pro, a graphics editing program; contains graphics that can be painted repeatedly without drawing the actual objects; may include fish, plants, butterflies, and other images; painted like a paint brush, but draws images instead of paint. ]

Thanks. I knew it worked something like that but didn't know the specifics.
