I didn;t even know they exisited until they showed on on a Recommended page on Hoopla. I am reading the first one, about halfway through.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes It was released during Covid, so I guess that is partly why I missed it.
I loved the Trilogy and could not stop reading the first book. I think I blew through 2/3 of it in a day. This one is good but not as gripping. The Games aren't at the same level of novelty-horror to me. But it's fascinating seeing how The Capital has refined (sorry, that is a terrible word describing what they do) the Games over the years to what we see in the Katniss Era.
There is a second book, Sunrise on the Reaping, that came out in March.
I noticed that there is a movie for Book 1 and a cast set for Book 2. I'll probably watch them if/when anyone else in my family wants to.
PS: Books are better than movies.
