It's all about character.
Watch your thoughts;
they become words.
Watch your words;
they become actions.
Watch your actions,
they become habits.
Watch your habits;
they become character.
watch your character;
it becomes your destiny.
-Frank Outlaw

*sigh* I wish more people lived by this!

“If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. i'll always be with you.” ~Christopher Robin

“If there ever comes a day when we can't be together keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever”

These two are my favourite quotes too! Love Winnie the Pooh quotes :)

Argghhh...I still can't find my scrapbooking quotation that my friend gave me. My house is a mess! Anyone want to send a virtual maid my way??

All right. Who snuck in and put it on my desk right in front of my face?

"Scrapbooking isn't about scraps of paper and photos. Scrapbooking is about scraps of life - yours and those special to you." - Rebecca Sower

Here is one from me today:

Thanks for sending the maid my way Sally!

I'm about to bust out my meaningfully marked up copy of "The Power of One." Seriously, if you've never read that book, you should!

Dumpty...the first time that I ever read Le Petit Prince, it was in French. I was in high school and it stretched me...but honestly, I loved it more in French than English. I need to find my French copy and try reading it again. In my free time of course! LOL

What a great thread I will have to come back and read them all soon!

Here is a quick one for me... It is where my online name came from :)

Today is my Grandmom's birthday who passed away 2 years ago.....it's still hard to know Christmas is coming and she won't be here. I use this poem as comfort to help get me through....I thought maybe it might bring others comfort too :)

I see the countless CHRISTMAS TREES around the world below
with tiny lights like HEAVEN’S STARS reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so SPECTACULAR please wipe away that tear
for I am spending CHRISTMAS WITH JESUS CHRIST this year.
I hear the many CHRISTMAS SONGS that people hold so dear
but the SOUND OF MUSIC can't compare with the CHRISTMAS CHOIR up here.
I have no words to tell you of the JOY their voices bring
for it is beyond description to HEAR THE ANGELS SING.
I know HOW MUCH YOU MISS ME, I see the pain inside your heart
for I am spending CHRISTMAS WITH JESUS CHRIST this year.
I can't tell you of the SPLENDOR or the PEACE here in this place
Can you just imagine CHRISTMAS WITH OUR SAVIOR face to face
I'll ask him to LIFT YOUR SPIRIT as I tell him of your love
so then PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER as you lift your eyes above.
Please let your HEARTS BE JOYFUL and let your SPIRIT SING
for I am spending CHRISTMAS IN HEAVEN and I’m walking WITH THE KING.

I love this thread - i was desperatly seeking inspiration, and i stumbled upon this
i have a humble contribution to make:

To exist is to change,
to change is to mature,
to mature is
to go on creating oneself endlessly.
- Henri Bergson

I love this thread too!

Here's some from me:

One from when I was watching the Today show from something Kathy Lee said: "I love you too much to deny you the privilege of making mistakes." I think she was referring to something she said to her children once but it could apply to a number of loved ones in your life.

And then I heard this one somewhere once: "Never accept a 'no' from someone who didn't have the authority to give you a 'yes' in the first place."

I thought this was a great scrapbooking quote for a site like this. Even if you politically don't agree with him, I think his election night speech will go down in history like Kennedy or MLK.

"Our stories are singular, but our destiny is shared."
-- Barack Obama

I'll be back in a few with some from my meaningful marked up copies of the "The Power of One" and "Walden". =)
