Oh my I hope that you will be ok!! I have tripped over my own feet before so I know what you are going through!! The worst is looking around to see if anyone saw your not so graceful fall!! :giggle4:
Trudy, that is so true! I looked to see if my neighbors saw me!

Evelyn, I'm so sorry that happened to you, but also grateful that you didn't suffer a head injury or break a bone!!! Hope you are beginning to heal! :heartpumpred:

Add me to the BTDT list. I am like Angie, I can trip over thin air. :blushing1:

I don't have a fenced yard so my dogs go out on leads. A few years ago, I was out there with them one morning and they started to bark at something. Unfortunately, one of the leads was wrapped around my foot and Jaida took me down in the driveway. I was on my back, trying to catch my breath and my neighbor came out to see if I was ok. I needed my DD to come and help me up. I was pretty banged up and had gravel stuck onto my elbow and arm. Bruises all over.
So you would think I would have learned my lesson... But no...

A year later, I was out with them and my dogs saw another person and his dog on the street and went bonkers. Everything went into slow motion as I tried to step out of the lead. Unsuccessfully. As I am going down - I was like Ralphie in A Christmas Story. Fuuuuuuuuudddggggeeeee.
But not fudge. :censored:
I was so embarrassed that the guy and his dog not only saw me fall but heard me cursing on my way down. He stopped to ask if I was ok and I told him I was fine, that this wasn't the first time this had happened.
Thankfully-- it was the last. For now.

Something similar happened to my sister years ago at a park, except that her dog saw a squirrel and took off after it and jerked her forward so suddenly she crashed forward to the ground. Her daughter had just left the park and she had to text her to come back and help her up. She was positive she had broken something, but was just banged up. :runningdog:

There's a fitness guy on You Tube that I follow who actually posted a video not long ago about how to fall forward safely...

Oh, Chris! I’m so sorry this happened to you! We have dogs and I know how fast it is to get tangled in their leashes!

Angie, I sure need to watch the video! When I fell it happened so fast! I just remember being on the ground and not the tripping or falling.

Glad to hear you are ok Evelyn. I have been there, corners bump into me, steps come out of nowhere, sidewalk drops before telling me.., chairs move, my feet don't know where they are going.. done it all. I am a bruise waiting to happen.

I had decided to do some weeding yesterday. It was hot and sweat was getting on my glasses so I took them off and laid them down. I went in the house and realized I had forgotten my glasses. When I went outside to get them, I was so focused on seeing where they were that I tripped and fell flat with both my hands and the side of my face hitting. My right hand took the majority of the fall. I scraped both hands and my right hand is in a wrist/hand brace. It’s bruised but not hurting as bad as yesterday. I felt pretty stu laying there in my driveway for sure!
Just seeing this and hope you are doing much better by today!
