My dear sister-in-love is coming tomorrow with our precious niece, Valerie! We are going to Cheekwood Botanical Gardens tomorrow and then Saturday, Mary Ann bought us all tickets to see the Grand Old Opry! We have lived outside of Nashville for 37 years but have never been. We are so excited for this wonderful upcoming weekend!

Oh, how fun! Have a great time. We used to live in Nashville, TN. My son still telecommutes from here in NC, to the company he works for, in Brentwood.

We lived in Brentwood for a year and then bought a house in Antioch and was there for about 9 years before moving to Alabama...the Brentwood area was gorgeous! :)

What a small world! Yes, Brentwood is awesome. I've never lived in Alabama, but my sister has, and although she's now living back in FL (our home state), she visits friends often in Alabama. I keep thinking someday I'll go back to FL too, but can't make myself leave the NC mountains, when I think of the FL heat.

Thank you so much, Betty Jo! We have moved four times since we moved to Tennessee but each move was near Nashville! :floorlaugh:

The mountains sound WAY better to me than Florida, to be honest...you can always just go visit the other states :beatingheart: I have never been to NC...I bet it is beautiful! Where I am in Alabama has some "mountains", nothing like Colorado mountains in my area, I am in the Huntsville area, but in Woodville now, and we have a "mountain" in our backyard :heartpumpred:

Yes, you are so right. Weather-wise, I choose NC. We're in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I'll have to look up your area of AL, but it sounds great, especially with a mountain in your backyard!
