How's your summer going so far?

Mine is almost over - we've just returned from five weeks away and school is starting next Monday so this week is all about school prep.

It IS so nice to be back and scrapping again. Just as it was nice to see family and catch up with friends. And unwind and do nothing. And visit uni's - it is our daughter's last year with us and knowing this time next year she'll be at uni is mindboggling... I'll be scrapping my summer over the next few months, I guess...

What about you guys? How's your summer going?

What a wonderful summer you must be having!
My summer is going fast too even though my everyday life is no different than any other season. Everyone around me is happier however since I don't complain about being cold nonstop. I live near New York City and the weather hasn't been anywhere near as hot or dry as other places. My gardens have been keeping me busy and I love watching the bees and butterflies. This year, I hung up a hummingbird feeder and have been glued to my window to watch them.

Yes, the summer went quickly! I'm glad because it has been so stinking hot! Fall is my FAVORITE season, so I am ALWAYS anxious for it to begin.....even thought the most unFAVORITE season for me follows.....winter, YUCK! However, they aren't usually very bad where I live in NC.

Summer, as usual, has been flying by far too quickly. I haven't taken as many opportunities to be outdoors as I did last year. We did have a lovely weekend weather-wise, but you can just tell by the quality of the light that autumn is just around the corner.

I'm SO glad you've had a wonderful summer, Olga. Ours has been pretty quiet here on the ranch. There's always something going on around here - no special plans or trips, but that's ok. It's been a good summer.

This made me smile - glad to know you aren't feeling cold at the moment... lol...

oh, I love winter - not the slushy rainy days, of course, when the weather can't be bothered to decide what it wants to be, but the ones with proper snow and skiing and picture-perfect Christmas... this year we spent our summer in Finland and Ireland so I'm rather happy to be back to Jakarta's tropical sunshine though :)

I know what you mean... and with autumn come tons of photo ops... I hope you'll get to spend some time outdoors in the coming couple of months...

A good summer when nothing major happened is a good thing. We had about 10 days of that too - peace and quiet and nature all around with no definite plan... free as a bird! Everyone needs that once in a while.

Ha ha! Just saw yesterday that this winter the Carolinas should be full of snow! Right now that sounds great. High heat indices are doing us in. I can't stand to be cooped up but 107 is toooooo hot for even a short break. With the humidity here you can barely breathe. August is going WAAAAAAY too fast for me. I hope the heat will break next week, cos I have a recently redone patio and a great front porch calling me! I wanted to paint downtown ( urban art) this summer but after June it has been impossible. I was really hoping the weather would give us a break this year. Done babysitting the grands as they are in school, but the heat is too much. Maybe soon...

Well, what will be will be! I can enjoy standing on the deck for a few minutes to take some pictures of the falling snow....if it happens! The humidity has been oppressive here, too! I'm so looking forward to fall!
