How do you get around?

What's your primary method of transportation? Walk, Bike, Bus, Car, Moped, Motorcycle, Ride shares? Anything I'm not thinking of? lol

It occurred to me today while driving on some really nasty roads the last few days that a lot of people don't have to deal with that, because they get around in different ways.

Where we live is really spread out (rural Canada). I work 35 km away from where I live, it's about a 25 min. drive on the highway. Most people in my town drive, because we don't have the infrastructure/transit to go town to town and my town doesn't even have a clothing store, let alone a lot of other amenities.

So how do YOU get around?

You mean, as in *leave the house???*

We have to travel by car everywhere. We live in a relatively rural area of New Jersey. We have NJ Transit bus stops that will take you to NYC or to a hub for other buses but it is not easy or convenient. No trains anywhere near us either.
My town is also very spread out and has maybe 10 feet of sidewalk which makes it somewhat unsafe to walk anywhere, esp if it is dark.
If you don't have a car you are out of luck because we typically cant get Uber/Lyfts up here either. No one wants to make the hike out here.

No mass transit here. We have never had it where we lived so I don't miss what I've never had. Having said that, I plan to use it a lot when we go to Paris and London!

We have very little mass transit here in Michigan either, so traveling by car is the way to get around.

No mass transit here. Like right now, it's so slick out, that I don't even want to try to get off the property. We got hung up last winter trying to get up the hill. Even the others, with their big trucks, have trouble when it's slick.

Car for the most part, but if I am really stuck I can catch a bus that stops right up the hill from our house. It's only a 10 min drive to get to anywhere I need to go for groceries etc. So really don't use too much gas. Relatives are at least 1/2 hr. to 1hr away so need to take the car or truck for those visits. Of course then there are my hiking days that can be very close by or quite far away, so I guess I go through more fuel than I think LOL.

Definitely by car. The city where I live has some mass transit but I'd have to drive to a bus stop that may or may not take me anywhere I would actually want to go. Heck, I can drive to the grocery store more quickly than I could drive to a bus stop. Pretty pathetic for a city of 200,000 people.
