How do you find a movie that you don't remember the name?

Happy October everyone! has it happened to you that you remember a very funny or good movie, but you don't remember its name? Well, yesterday I spent hours looking for a classic movie. I only remembered one of the actors, and well, searching for film by film is quite tiring, fortunately I found a site named "What is my movie", and in just few minutes I found the movie that I was searching for, and others that sound very interesting. And I wonder, how do you find a movie you've watched long time ago, and you're interested in watching it again out of nostalgia but you don't remember the name, how do you find it?
If you have some tips on how to find movies, they are welcome.

If you have some tips on how to find movies, they are welcome

I usually just start with what movie ? and then start listing as much of the plot as I remember along with any actors I remember.

I usually start with all the info I remember in a search engine, then talk aloud to my hubs and either find it or move on. I have no great ways of searching. I will have to remember the site you suggested and the one Jean suggested.

If I can remember one of the actors I'll search that person and scroll until I find it. If I don't have an actor reference, then I probably don't remember the movie at all and I'm probably not looking for it! :eek3:

If you just start "searching" with whatever you can remember - it will probably come up. I just did it with a quote from a movie - it happened to be Back To The Future, and all I could remember was a certain quote.

I used the keywords "silly coconut horses" and Monty Python and the Holy Grail was the 5th title that came up in the results LOL!

WHAT 4 movies came up before Monty Python??? How many silly coconut horse movies can there be???

My first choice when I try and come up with a movie is asking my hubby. If he don't know, I know it's something I watched on my own. Then I google what I remember or check my IMDB app.

I'm gonna try to remember the actors, so next time it's gonna be easier to find the movie.
